A £38k market cap seems odd. However what’s happened to the strategic switch into g to he $20bn market share? I think they dangle lots of carrots and deliver little. Worth a few more quid as I’m down about 95% to date!

Weekend trade16 Mar 2026 06:37

Over the weekend I passed the usual shops numerous times in the 2 days. Both were seriously rammed at all times so sales appear to be strong. I was surprised by Berenbergs buy re-rate tbh but I see a strong trading year with record net profits and an increased dividend of 74p plus a special dividend of 28p.

Shops remain optimistically busy with constant Byers in and out where I pass regularly. Decent dividends to come and with major capex done, we should see net profits of £175-200mn and special dividends thereafter.

£19 is doable in the next month and then I see a good consistent rise up to the next half year trading update, possibly £21-22.

I’d imagine there’s more contract announcements forthcoming and this will ease through 10p before long. Good recovery after a very flat period.

Nothing negative here. Dividend maintained and a resilient performance against a tough economic climate, hedge funds playing manipulative games and so on. A good solid RNS.. not sure why negativity creeps in. £23 in no time on the back of solid forecasts for this year…
