It was based on a previous poster saying the below. I was just trying to help as it sounded like he was saying the French can’t work out what the SP should be as if both exchanges were completely separate. Surely the only way they can assess where the shares are held is by looking at volumes and how those have been traded on the exchanges. So you are probably right that labelling them French is incorrect. Most shares are held in brokerage accounts anyway so in my case they would need to contact H&L to see who I am.

So they just haven't realised how low this sp is right now.

BTW Brent one of the exchanges will rise or fall by 3p first thing as the two MCAPs don’t currently match.

@Brent……I didn’t say there were 140m shares, I’m saying the MCAP is based on 70.6m x the share price in both countries. That MCAP should be the same on both exchanges when you factor in the currency exchange. The amount of shares in each exchange is changing all the time. But if volume is on average 2/3rds more in France over a long period, then obviously that exchange will hold more shares. I’m not sure why you are saying I don’t understand dual listing. The previous poster was implying the ALNOV and NCYT were not linked, that’s all I was getting at.

Mr Big……what do you mean 2/3rds of the shares are in France. Both have 70,626,248 ordinary shares. Both should have the same MCAP roughly when you look at the latest exchange rate. 2/3rds of the daily volume has been weighted towards ALNOV but the two last week were trading similar volumes. Not sure what you mean?

However, this is AIM and AIM does not do valuations. Otherwise how on earth did it get to £12!

Sorry Larry, I was looking at Investing.com and the 2019 figure. 2020 shows 154m Euros or £132m. I’ve not seen 2021 H1 but they anticipated very strong growth and seemed a lot more positive about the future than GMs “don’t know what revs will be” statement.

I don’t mention EKF as that idiot Van Der Buren is invested there and the timing of his post was suspicious to say the least when we dropped and the shorts opened, with ODDO and brokers releasing targets, odd company RNSs etc all happening at the same time. I mean, if you wanted to tank the companies value, you couldn’t synchronise the timing of all that any better. I still don’t believe it all happened without insider information. I know the general market has dropped but Novacyts is out of kilter with everything else. That’s why I still think a takeover will happen one day. ODDO are nothing but bad news. Who remembers Rockrose and how that was taken over after the sp crashed with ODDO involved in 2020. Went from 2500 to 500 to 2800. Stupidly I sold on that sp tanking. Probably why I am still here as so many times I sold only for the sp to rise or company get taken over. Same with EUA, de la rue. Just always didn’t. Held throughout here and the reverse happens! Lol.

If the market thinks Covid will end, then why is ODX sat on £100m MCAP for a bit of loaned equip, AVCT sat on £340m for a business that was only recognised as 15p before Covid rather than 140p now. Not much else changed there. Abingdon £50m for a business floated start of year. Biosynex not dropped at 233m euros with much lower revenues 34m€ vs 277m€ for Novacyt. Synairgen £300m after 100m raise. Etc.

Novacyt would appear to be valued extremely low and in my opinion is solely down to the DHSC and the way the comms were released by the company (twice). Then all the shorts, institutions/funds smashed it right down. Surely they are waiting on the DHSC to be resolved. This could either tank temporarily on bad news (although this is already in the price but will still be taken down short term) or it will spike and continue going up (hence the short positions have closed). LTHs are not selling any more hence the low volume. Bit of trading still happening. Until DHSC news, we are stalemate. I’m hoping the timing of shorts closing and funds / institutions leaving means that the timeline for resolution is down from now to the next few months. Meanwhile, traders will continue to get a few percent on the lows and highs of this current range.

I thought the trading service for NCYT was SETS so cuts out the market maker as its computer driven, hence all the ATs?

Novacyt adding some positive tweets “Our reputation continues to proceed us”.

I have a couple of questions:-
1/ Should we be spending more on advertising and shouting the Novacyt/PD/MG in glossy journals OR does this type of coverage put too much focus on the company name and risk possible negative press (due to government spend and issues with testing with other companies)?
2/ We currently have the LFT Pro but what is the main difference with our ‘to be launched’ Home Use apart from needing CE certification? I assume the test is the same, and but the process to collect samples is different. Innova have authorisation for home use but I don’t see where the difference is.
