I say no impact, but it hasn't helped.

2 million share transaction reported at just after 2pm at 70 pence per share... Late report? short exit? No impact on the SP though,... ? hmmmm

We seem to have support at 70.5 for the timebeing

Yeah yeah I said 6 months and should have said 3 and a bit, get over it. My interpretation is based upon:

-They knew that the lump sum turnkey type projects were holding the business back and they're being phased out

- Key wins in the last few months with blue chip global companies (Shell / Esso / BP)

- Calming of unrest in key locations in the Middle East

- Sale of parts of the business at better than anticipated levels

- Improving Glassdoor reviews - getting closer to 4*

- Record year for their carbon team and a record number of wins in the Middle East

- The geo-political situation is becoming more positive from a global situation

- Whilst a key investor pulled 50% of their holding the others have remained pretty stable

- Shorts are still too high, but they have reduced by around 25%

In my view they need to sort out their ability to communicate to the market, it has been very poor, not providing upcoming dates and remaining pretty much radio silent on the ongoing review is not helping them. Wood felt their busines was worth in excess of 220p / share, how can it possibly be reasonable at virtually 1/3 of that number.

N08s - that's interesting, I can see what you mean, but depends very much on the time period being selected. I can see some here have been holding for a very long period of time and that's a really unfortunate position for them. I firmly believe that this business is sufficiently solid to get back up to those much higher levels in the fullness of time

I'm only using a Google chart so I don't have a 3 and a bit month chart, and I joined after the November announcement.....but you must all see the general progression upwards surely? Yes there has been some drops but it is very clear this is generally going in the right direction, all it takes is some form of news to climb back up significantly

On days like yesterday and today I like to take a look at the last 6 months' graph, very reassuring!

Good opportunity for short exit

That's interesting about the sidara date, I'd not appreciated it was coming up. Sidara's rationale for exiting was troubles in the middle east which have calmed significantly. This week could be very interesting

22nd December promised a "full update" in January. Well its the 31st today and tumbleweed.... Feels like its time to get out - anybody else have a view?

Its pretty rare that the price is quite so static on WG. Any views on this? shorts exiting through some kind of measured approach to avoid a squeeze?

This a really tough one. I'm in it pretty deep here and currently in the black,

Whilst we have this...

- Its been about 9 working weeks now and we've had not a smidging of news on audit progress

- Wood hasn't followed the same date pattern that they have done on release of unaudited results

I think we need to remmeber the following:

- Overall shorts have reduced significantly

- The orange chap with the white hair in the good 'ol US of A's demands of "drill baby drill"

- Improvements in the Israeli / Palestinian peace process

- WG published "2024 marked a record year of contract wins for Wood in the Middle East"

- The new Esso contract in Oz

- BP framework win, followed by BP's announcment of cutting employee workforce (typically good news if you're a consultant)

- Abrdn view of ["we see this as overdone....... so we topped up"]

I am thinking that not releasing unaudited results is probably a sensible thing. If you want to create confidence in a business, issuing an un-audited position is not the way to do it.

Will the auditor find something? of course they will, do this kind of audit on any business and you'd find something. Chances are they will also come back with, "we've found a host of ways to cut cost in our business"

Interesting news article on the Wood website posted this week. Goes into a fair amount of detail on how successful 2024 was for them in the ME. Be nice to get some wider info out of them on 2024 results. I for one am getting a little frustrated at the time its taking, but I am feeling more certain that the news will be mostly positive once it does get presented.
