IT is probably not of any importance, I was attempting to post a reply concerning the ID of the big boy, and said I would have to do more digging into Heas and Chevron, when I was not slowed to post.

True, true, barny magroo, yet it does help pass the time. Hess could still be in the frame, I just don't see the large sums I would have expected in th A/C, yet it would not be the first time a company had been a little creative with the numbers.

I have dug around Hess, I note that they do have sums commited for exploration but the 'free' sums, eg those not given to existing projects, seem to be on the small side. So if they were the major, the investment in us would be small taties. Chevron, is the one major I don't have any tie in with but could be interesting. Of the major drill companies, I think Seadrill, being the local company is too small, what do you know of schlumbburgh, I am positive that I have misspelt that, they are the largest drill specialists. Yet I am not convinced of them on the grounds that, would they be classed as a major? I would wish it to be an integrated oiler rather than a jumped up contractor.

Yes, I will take a closer look at Hess, as I previously stated, I am already a stock holder of Hess, they would do very nicely thank you. Though I haven't found anything concrete as yet.

Anyone know if BHP oil and gas arm could be considered a major? I always thought of them as a mining co myself. Yet they are partnering Exxon in the area, and the Chinese are also there in the shap of, cosco, have I got that right?

Exxon, BP and tullow are all in the Caribbean.
