Sorry to say when I do my research I build a view from different angles before I make a move, I do not build a map of how I get there, I do not see the map of importance only the destination, sorry if you do not accept what I say, then do your own research.

As far as I remember, and I'm sure you will correct me if I am wrong, the data room has been open for a long time, that is correct. A number of companies have shown interest, offers have been made, and rejected. When the pothead rejected said offers:- 1) oil was at a lower price per barrel. 2) drilling in Bahamian waters was not allowed. 3) the data had not been independently verified. 4) a referendum was on the cards. 5) McQ had not been appointed. We are now in a different place today, do I have to spell it out to you in words of one sillable?

It is perfectly simple, If you have the data then you have the deal, You have the data, therfore you have the deal. The monthly fee does not come into the equation.

I wonder if you can understand plain English? 1) the value of the data in my view is at present unquantifiable. 2) the forward value of the data is in the prospective deal that will be done. 3) the monthly payment secures first refusal to the bigboy, it does not equate to the value of the data. 4) I never gave a value for the data. 5) if the bigboy walks without a deal, we have zero, unless the pothead can get us a deal with one of the other companies locked out at present. 6 this deal may simply be too big for one major to handle. Please read the above and digest before you reply!

Yes, a possibility in an all share offer for Bpc.

If I were advising the pothead, I would go for a ten to one reduction in the amount of stock, then offer one for eight options to subscribe for shares at say 80p a share. This would push the shares out of bargain basement territory and raise additional cash to the company. So keep some powder dry for such an eventuality.

A nice concise erudition, in the main I would agree with the analysis. However, in regard to the value of the data, I think that at present, this is unquantifiable, the data is, as you say worth only what someone is prepared to pay for it. It's true worth is in the potential deal that it can generate, not in the monthly fee being paid for first refusal and confidentiality. The final value will be determined by the nature and amount of the final deal, or not as the case maybe.

I do not know what posts you were reading, I never gave a value to the survey material. I did state that it was worth more than you gave credence too. I also said that the value is only what one is prepared to pay. I stand by what I said, at the risk of repeating myself the monthly payment is not a purchase price, the value of the data will be determined if and when a jv, farm in, farm out, buyout or the bigboy skips off without a deal. have a good weekend.

Seems to me that your cup is 70% empty, mine is 30% full, it depends on how you view it. I am happy with my lot at the mo, I trust what Alan said and am happy to take the risk. If you see it as 70% negative, why are you here?

If you had bothered to read my post, you would have seen that I asked what value YOU placed on the data! Further, i pointed out that I did not place any numbers on the value of the data. Also the data being part of the overall value of the company, in my view seemed to carry a higher value, going forward than you were prepared to admit. You then started throwing insults at me, destroying any creadibility to your argument, without answering the original question that I asked, you are unbelievable and to engaged with your own self importance to be worthy of consideration!
