Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Just trying to be realistic atm Guy. I would love to be self funding by the end of q1 but just cant see it happening so if we can aleviate any pressure James has of funding issues and concentrate on selling and deal making then in the long term i am all for it.
Stocksaint, until we know what sort of deal , if any is being brokered for FDA application we dont know the cost and who with , but £5-7m would keep us going for at least 12 months plus and give the CEO breathing space to crack on with his intentions for the company.
Stocksaint, that is very true as they stated a number of times but if they get the tax rebate thet will extend it for a while and if the CEO delivers on what he has said then raising funds will become easier . Every R and D company need funds to survive , we now have the products to become self sufficiant its just a matter of can we get them to market to achieve that, with the new CEO on board i think we can , WITH HELP.
I like his confidence almost arrogance in what he has done over the 3 months he has been in office and almost distain in what was nt done, if he is the real deal then we will be ok , if he is all mouth and trousers then we will be shouting for Budd to come back .
I am not looking for massive sales abroad , just sales as that will indicate we can and then it gives us something to build on .
I feel the CEO sees this as a stepping stone to a BIG job in the future and if he can do a good job here then itwill put him on the map . He comes across as a can do CEO and delivering on what he has stated will see confidence in the company return.
Roger , if the CEO delivers on what he has said would happen then we will be in a good place without a doubt. He came across as you say very well and reading by his manner he was shocked at some of the things what we not done and feels he is now on top of things. The next few weeks he predicted big things and if he can deliver then the markests may look on GDR differently , here s hoping.
System, you are wasting your time ,, Stocksaint has his own views on GDR and will not change so best let him just get on with it . He wont believe you me or even the CEO , he has done his own research but continues to post even though he has no intention of buying .
From the presentation the company are expecting sales news , be that a £1 or £20000 we dont know and from where . who knows but news is expected. We can argue about finances but it was said any funding will not be used for wishu washy things so hopefully that will not include keeping the lights on . For me he came across as very pro active with the contacts and knowledge on how to get products to market and the best bit for me is the desire to make the products succeed . Either way we will know by the end of the month but just dont set your expectations high , a £5000 contract is a start if we get that much but a sale into Europe will be ground breaking imo.
If the CEO can deliver sales news next month then hopefully sentiment will return , if it does then any fundraise could easily be double the sp price it currently is . This year we went from 7-40p on sentiment alone with nothing to back it up, sales to the EU will give us the credence we need.
Franky, Budd was sacked because he was useless. There are a number of routes for application and the new CEO is already in talks for what you require. Just listened to the presentation and for all shareholders with concerns in what direction we are going it is a good 55 mins spent to put you in a better frame of mind with your investment . COMMERCIAL TRACTION repeated a number of times to get the money rolling in , has he been brought in by the bod to get us financially viable to sell OR to make us all a few quid better off, either way he is talking the talk and walking the walk. Notice the frustration in his manner when he talks about NICE, love it.
It just goes to show nothing that is written here has any effect on the sp . Many thanks to all those that took the time to post their notes from the presentation, and thety made for some interesting reading.
System, keep the faith mate it looks like we have a CEO who is going to earn his corn, he has nt bothered to get his feet under the table as he has been kicking some backsides and chasing orders and deals at last,. How can you make sales when the instructions are in double dutch , well not even Dutch, French or any other language??????.
Any fundraising it seems is for FDA application but with talks in the US will we see a partnership of some sort, interesting
Roger do you know if the regulatory bodies overseas are as stringent as NICE or just application and registration with ongoing or preliminary testing ???.
It will need only 1 authority outside of Manchester to purchase a machine/s and tests to start the ball rolling , its whether there is one willing or a top clinition willing to push to purchase it. DO NOT FORGET , NICE have recommended the hearing test and with more tests run in Manchester the more the results will become clearer and the word will get round. As for the stroke test, we can only guess the reasoning why it has been delayed. It could be they have some worries about it, they may have recieved more data which they want to discuss or possibly another dozen reasons why .
Stocksaint, i am not expecting blow your socks of news just a sign that the new CEO has a thought process in what direction he is looking to go down . For me this is his chance to step up to the plate and not to come out with a wishy washy statement that tells us nothing . This is why i said positive instead of great news as that would come in an RNs
