Yeah I’m enjoying The Hack - another great ITV production.

Regarding Murdoch though, who is believed to be lawyering up, surely his best flex would for his media empire to buy ITV for peanuts (relative to his net worth) and then simply delete The Hack from the content library and cancel licensing deals.

Ok sounds ridiculous but using money to control the narrative is a just business as usual…

(His empire once owned 17.9% of ITV, all the history is easy to google!)

Anyway, whilst I’m a long term holder I’m happy to suggest there may be a short term opportunity coming up…

I suspect there is weakness in ITV due to Thursdays STV results. Yes same sector, but it’s not an equal comparison. Eg if we go with the notion that most of the ITV share price is due to the amazing Studios division (and the market is discounting the broadcast side to practically zero) then bad news from STV should not cause an equal ITV slide.

However we all know Thursday open could be volatile - so my suggestion would be look for value in ITV then if it opens in sympathy with bad STV results.

The market gets things wrong sometimes and that’s where profits can be found!
