RE: SP19 Feb 2019 10:11
In my humble opinion LTHs are focusing too much on the the actions of shorter term investors who are themselves only really interested and reacting to, the front end achievements of the company. Easy to say but for me it is clearly very true.
Of those the current profitability is clearly the key factor, and the fact that a substantial news item relating to this has recently been published, creates a situation completely removed from the overall fundamentals of the company. That's a phase in investing that simply just happens and must be suffered if I choose to remain a LTH.
That isn't where i personally choose to focus because my goal is long term. There is a much bigger picture going on here and it will take time to play out, but the rewards should be well worth the wait. No one should expect the market to appreciate that yet because it is heavily wrapped up in potential and some extent belief, but it is belief in said potential, backed by the right level of research, that should allow oneself to accept the current flow of the market for what it is and by what sort of investor it is being driven.
Due to the way that these key future developments are communicated by the company, there is little chance that the market would be willing to acknowledge them yet. Some may not like that but it is the reality and quite honestly given the choice, I am happy for it to be played out that way. Far better that than those companies that RNS the fact they are going to a meeting, which is the other end of the scale. Yes somewhere in the middle would perhaps be better, but be careful what you wish for.
I prefer progress that is real, that I can understand, and that points to the end game being on track. But most of all I want to see progress because in the end that is what will win the day and deliver the greatest prize.
Right now BMN is being judged as a vanadium miner with production problems that require solutions to be achieved and communicated. However, that thinking is for me incorrect because they are achieving more than enough to keep the bigger prize on track.
I understand what BMN is working towards achieving in the battery space, I see the potential and I see the chance that BMN is setting up for itself to achieve it. I believe that energy storage is here to stay, I believe that VRFBs will play a big part in that, and I know that nobody has greater or better resources of vanadium in the world to supply that industry. So one way or another BMN will be involved and that combination alone backed by a solid and expanding vanadium mining business will in my opinion deliver in a very big way.
It will take time and the line of ascent will not always run straight, but it remains tied fast to that end goal, such that this phase does not define my investment or indeed affect that end result, and so it does not truly matter.
