Not sure if anyone has twigged the hedge and it’s relation to JV/deep wells
The benefit (eg $60 for 6 months) whilst we get the deeps drilled.
6 months down the line we should have the 6 recompletions done plus 2 deeps flowing which could easily be a gross production increase of 4800 bopd(2 deeps @2k bopd 6 recomps @ 400bopd)

Let’s get this recompletion done and see what the production figs are

What is p%sing me off is why we cannot have a proper announcement on what is going on with the JV.
If we are under an NDA for exclusive rights to data SAY IT.
All this smoke and mirrors is totally unnessary.

With the sp so silly if I was a major I would not even bother with the JV and just take us out.
The disconnect to anything remotely like fair value is now obscene.

The concept of buying for a silly price I don’t get.
COPL can go this alone albeit at a much slower pace. So min offer imho should be 50 and even that is taking the p9ss.
So why so quiet ?
As I understand it whoever the JV partner is they want to JV on whole deep acerage not just that mapped by RS.
This could also as many have said be a precursor for just taking the lot.
The sooner Art gives an update here the better as this has dragged on way too long.

Said this many times re Exxon a few hundred mill is chump change to them.Anything over 50 would fly I reckon for the entire company.

Why do we need a suspension if there is a firm offer. Not required at all. MMS will face to adjust the so to the ballpark price of the offer (or within say 10-29 percent of it)

I think like many (including myself) Stas is fed up of shareholders continually having to ‘take one for the team’ as the core value of COPLs assets increase.
It’s d day to me on JV/Takeover etc.
The only viable reason that RBL should not have been sorted at historical lows on interest rates is that via either a takeover or JV it’s no longer necessary,
Watching and waiting to see if finally holders rather than spivs are actually rewarded…

Also take that but can’t see it happening at this stage…

Best scenario IMHO
COPL get a shedload of cash and left with minority stake in the deeps.
Why ?
1. Bye bye debt plus have funds to sort all plumbing issues in current producing field plus tap Cole Creek
2. Loaded JV partner would not piddle around with 2 horizontals more like 10 a year sp even if we are left with say 20 percent WI the rate the oil comes out the ground would make the difference negligible in terms of production eg 10 wells at 2000 bopd = 20k copl WI 4k
3. Would love a special div but could see Art just ploughing everything back into the field

Personally I don’t give a toss who it is so long as they are cash rich and they give us a fat bag of cash

There should be no placing the worst case scenario is they can use the tap function on the bond.
Let’s just see what happens like most who have been here pre suspension I am getting close to my wits end here and just hope we see a JV deal that negates the need for either RBL or (also acceptable) wipes the bond out if the cash up front is a smaller sum.
To those that say if COPL get a lump sum they could not spend it to reduce debt you are talking tosh. Quite to the contrary if a JV partner wants in I would say it’s in their interest that COPL debt is as low as possible so they are under less financial strain and as such are a more reliable partner…

I think we would all like to see some sort of deal that gives us something approaching fair value and the maggots kicked into touch

I think we just don’t want to hear about any more issues and see BOPD steadily climbing to send the neighsayers packing.
Let’s be having the JV or even better just sell the whole deep WI for serious coin.
