Disappointed that you have come back to us aw with such a negative and partisan post. You have already told everyone on ADVFN that you are shorting this - you will have done well and that’s ok with me but your negative scenarios and 20p price suggestion is rubbish.

Nothing can be done about decisions made a year ago or even last month Yuri, it is always what you decide to do now that matters - the SP could go up or down from this point but I think that a buyout one way or another should give us £1ish so I will place my bets accordingly - you will weigh it up for yourself and make your own call that’s just how it works. Despite the suggestion in the RNS Yuri this will be all or nothing no partial selling of books either the company is bought out or TRG take it private there will be no middle ground.

HH, I don’t disagree that £2 is unlikely but that really depends on other interested parties - the business itself is solid and the regulator seems to be onside. As for a drop tomorrow, quite possibly but I remain hopeful for over £1 within a few months so fill your boots or watch from the sidelines - your money, your call.

No SUFC definitely not ****ed. We can hope for other interested parties to come forward - this is a very profitable business that satisfies a need in the market and at the end of the day actually charges interest rates no dissimilar to the overdraft rates offered by big banks and £2 would not be unreasonable -forget the current SP it bears no relation to the true value of the business. I also still have some faith in JB - we are after all supporters of his business not the enemy. His advisors will be telling him to push as hard as he can but if you dare average down to under £1 and you could well be ok. Buying cheap does not have to mean stealing.

Well I hope the £2 offer materialises SUFC but I can’t help thinking that the real game here is/has been TRG pushing the price down to buy us out on the cheap - hopefully that could still mean £1 plus even £2 but JB has £600 million on the table so we have to hope he will play fair by us.

No JJ this is not a new shareholder but simply a confirmation of an existing position. TRG have effectively put AMGO up for sale so the takeover rules require every holder with more than 1% to notify their position to the market. They will also have to notify every time their position changes therefore I suggested that there are likely to be a large number of 8.3 notifications.

Yes expect a flurry of these now from everyone holding 1% or more.

I notice that RBC will be handling the process - they have remained confident as to the value here with I think their recent price recommendation at £2.25 with an outperform marker. Surely it would raise questions if they recommended a super cheap sale? Worth more but I think we have a good shot at £1 plus. PFG must be very interested at anything close to that.

I managed to get a further 60k shares but with an average of not far short of 50p - interesting to see what the next few weeks flush out.

Calamari - let’s see. The RNS includes the phrase:- ‘ reorganisation of entities within the Company's group, the sale of the UK business, the sale of certain books of business including a potential de-listing of the Company's shares.’ This means taking private.

Well here we are again. We had speculated that Richmond Group might want to take the company private and that is certainly what I believe the outcome will be. No reason for the share drop but as the market could, it has - big players may be helping to manipulate this for their own benefit. Let’s hope the RNS with the 17th Feb deadline for interested parties flushes some out otherwise TRG will have a clear run. 12 month rule has been mentioned but this only sets the minimum bid level for anyone that has purchased shares in past 12 months and wants to launch a bid - this will surely be done and dusted before the end of tax year. Company is worth well over £2 but with the way this is being played we will be lucky with £1. Just have to watch what happens now - I certainly will not be selling and without the massive downgrade today I would already be adding - normally this news would act as a booster to the SP. Lets hope we do not get shafted. ATB

Re the speculation surrounding PFG bid - yes technically they could issue shares and indeed that would be their only route but at a price that would be acceptable then it could easily become a reverse takeover which is a much more complicated and expensive process - having said that I could see the benefit to Richmond, in particular JB who at £2 would become the major shareholder of a larger operation and potentially give him an easier exit if that was what he wanted to do - stranger things have happened and I would not rule it out.

Popped into my local branch today to open another account (every little helps). Apparently my branch has 2000 safety deposit boxes - branch has been open for a while and they are virtually full. Let’s call it full and say average of £40 per box per month that’s £960k per annum let’s call it a cool £1m per branch per annum - that covers a lot of costs! Hold hard.

Whilst I acknowledge that the market size for trading this share as increased from 500 to 1500 this tiny position seems pretty ridiculous and is another impediment to investors - surely it should be 5000 or better still 10000?

Added a few at this level simply with the intention to trade.

Taken a few bites here today on the rational that the SP currently reflects the knee jerk reaction of the market and the power of the shorters whereas I hope the figures will present us with some reality - we shall see. At this price I am comfortable with the risk. ATB

I share your pain and disbelief surrounding the SP option1 but the company needs good managers in place possibly more so than ever before to continue to run the business especially in the face of bad press and damage caused by association. The SP is crap but the business is still operating well and making great money so I for one am very happy to be paying the right people to do the job, their options are pretty worthless at the moment. Business good/SP bad - hold hard.

Wow istock - you must have held a huge number of shares in SXX, well done. I made a couple of £k between those and EUA but it was purely on a punt and with only a small investment. £35k is excellent, where else are you looking?

I don’t pretend to understand the SP but that is the market don’t forget INDV is still trading well and has a large cash balance equal to 2 or 3x current SP. Strong defence against a weak case - hold hard.

Hi Special the small trades are all Algos, retail investors never trade such small amounts as you point out it is simply not cost effective.

Hi B I have looked at the ii investor info and JB/RG are still showing as 61.4% if they drop below 61% we will see a RNS. The situation re liquidity was rectified by other institutional sells. At the current level of dividend I am very happy to hold forever but I do anticipate a rerate which may raise the SP to a point I am tempted to sell or at least in my opinion a T/O is still pretty likely. I may be entirely wrong but at this level I see very little downside especially if the cash keeps rolling in securing the dividend. ATB
