So back into IAG ready for the amalgamation of the vacc passport schemes. Long run to April 12th, so any retrace will just have to be sat out. No fuel tax!

What is the volume traded sold this morning, compared to the late large buys posted after market yesterday? Have those buys been cleared yet? Those trades were not uncrossed which does suggest phantom shares were issued before the book was closed yesterday. Too much of an unknown with the information I can see to risk going in at this level. I hope it is all in order and those currently 'in' are able to turn a profit. Been bitten trying to trade pre-budget before, there are always surprises and the city has the market chess board figured out many moves ahead. The only one they were ever caught out over was Lawson dropping the to rate to 40%. With Blair those allowed to know knew weeks ahead and made undisclosed sums on the markets. Did nobody find it strange how so many Labour MPs and cronies managed to buy so much property over just a few short years?

I note a lot of late large trades timed after market for IAG. I would say that is the reason for the few pennies added this morning. The drop will start after those trades have been crossed out, I think. Might be wrong. It is a bit of a casion share at the moment. Good luck.

I'm particularly interested in Cineworld and Restaurant group during the budget speech today. I expect some particular targeted help to regenerate those sectors. With luck they will surge to the close just as IAG drops hard as the retrace triggers a cascade of stops, and then I can perhaps return to IAG just before the close of the market. Already have a good mark up with Cineworld.

Agree in part GB46. Is the furlough extended to Sept in the hope that the numbers will rapidly dwindle but the scheme still there as a safety net? Or is it in case we have to go for a 4th lockdown? Or is it that the re-opening is going to be patchy with local lockdowns and people moving in and out of furlough over summer going into autumn?

I hope it goes well on the sp, if the re-entry point doesn't arrive for me with a fall back on the sp I have plenty of irons in other fires. It is a bit of a turkey shoot which stock to go for as the vacc rolls out and lockdown end looms. Spoilt for choice!

Expect heavy increases in fuel tax for vehicles, part of the green con but the treasury has to claw back money and fuel taxes are always lucrative. Airlines may also find a heavy fuel tax imposed, again claiming it is to do with the climate change lie. Very few people can afford to switch to battery cars, the charge is not that much cheaper and the replacement cost of the batteries is highly prohibitive. So the overwhelming majority of drivers will remain with internal combustion cars for the next couple of decades and a lot of the covid expense will be clawed back through fuel tax.
And yes, despite the intense propaganda coverage of climate change claims, in the real world analysis nothing claimed stands up to scrutiny - from the debunked dog leg graph to every news story about yet another record apparently broken. The whole thing has taken on a religious belief system tied in with an hysterical propaganda panic. Forcing people out of their car freedom might be the final straw. The con can't go on forever.

When the city cashes in, it will be without mercy. Good for those who banked their profit ahead of the game. I will expect the budget used as the cover for the pull back. It could be very sharp as stops are triggered in a heavy cascaded. I'm heavy elsewhere so will wait for any retrace to settle down first, the EU airline stocks may take priority over IAG for March, with IAG being ready for a smash and grab early April as the big announcement on travel plans is made on 12th April.

Problem is, there is so much to choose from with sectors and stocks on the bring on emerging from lockdown I'm kinda spoilt for choice.

The trading so far is a bubble which is why a number of us haven't got involved. I see the closer to home stocks returning most on 3rd budget day. The Gove review then doesn't report until April 12th. I expect then or with leaks the week before is when the travel sector will really open up and stocks fly. I'm not risking getting locked in so close to the budget. I've also seen these tulip markets before.

I am expecting biggest aid package for sectors like restaurants in budget with kick start initiatives, so I've put my dry powder in RTN - on budget day with luck that will bolt, then cash in, then into IAG low mid 170. Travel will be later down the road.
