Either the city keeps the sp afloat to stop the cascade fall, or it is allowed to go and all the buy in positions are fully covered.

I don't really have a defined entry point, I am watching it very carefully. There is also part of me saying keep out until week before April 12th. As when I first came to IAG this time round in January, any buy in will be committed, as in for the long term through dips, although I decided to break out of that and take profits. I ave slipped back into day trading and find myself wasitng time glued to the live price app wherever I am. Might just retire alltogether. Might thrown in the kitchen sink and just leave it till November. Just don't know.

dropping from 191 to mid or upper 170's will be seen as a plunge by many - but from what I have been reading many seem to be looking at the 170s as the new entry point. However, where are the pis stops? If I know anything about the city boys, when they drop it, they will drop it hard to trigger as many stops as possible. That will send the orders into negotiated orders and end up being settled much much lower. The iis will have thier buy level alll set up but trying to predict where is the game. I have seen this so many times, the cascade effect where there is a chain reaction stops being triggered after a large and sharp rise - pis often end up worse off than before the spike.

Anybody hazard a guess what time today the plunge will begin? I'm thinking mid afternoon when the city will catch the pis knapping.

The budget effect, if there was to be no road map with a target for allowing free flight again, then the budget would roll out industry support package that would underwrite the sp - boost it even. However, we got something much more specific than expected in the road map hence the sudden elevated sp. Nice if you are holding and decide to sell now and take the profit. The budget now has very much less importance for IAG, it may be important to other smaller regional airlines and especially the airports, so there may still be references to the sector. The next big dates post results are April the 12th and a random date announcing G7 vacc passport scheme. After that, there will the date vacc passport schemes merg into one announcement. There will be the big news story of the first 'holiday' flight taking off, there will have been plenty before but media will want to mark the moment.

There are also big potential issues, UK travellers barred from regions like EU due to vacc dose regime (unlikley but with the inner EU core you never know), new varients especially spreading through the pet population, price of getting a private vacc for taking a holiday (still not in public discussion and fairness has been raised very early), return leg home arrangements (still no real details of whether tests or isolation will be required during summer holiday season), zombie invasion and asteroid strike (low probability but the dinosaures didn't fair too well in the last big one).

The chart looks like so many seen before, steep up, then mysteriously steep down. The correction will occur, when is hard to say. Results day might be a good cover for it, but I don't think they will change the iis and lth positions very much as the expectaion was already priced in.

All those I can sell, sold. Cash mountian all ready and lined up for the big buy in at IAG. Now the 190 has been triggered, we wait to see if the algorithms start unwinding all the pi money into the iis bank accounts. So when to jump back in? 185, 179, 175, 168, 155, 143. Or will it go the other way and Friday afternoon is a scramble to get back in at 192, 201, 215, 225, or even 245???????????

redhat, it really depends on what value you place on the company. Add the money raised on to the company value you decide on from your historical record, then add the number of shares created to the number of shares originally, then divied the new sp between the new numbers of shares. That is the only answer I can come up with for your question.

This is the number to look out for in the results. Lower, bad, higher good. -1,659 is the lower range.

Interesting to note, the fund took 3% in Oct, this is down to 2.9% 11 Feb. Are they selling off in the background? Criticaly for results, how many larger holders like Marchall Wace pull back a bit? Lots of variables to consider. Are you spooked that it is now stuck at 189 and is only heading up? Are you expecting a drop at which you will take on a new position? Are you a ramper, a de ramper or couldn't give a toss? April the 12th is a real problem in the calander.

sunny boy, Walsh is not DG of IATA until April and retired from IAG back last September (before the pension contributions were suspended - discuss). I doubt he has any influence yet on anything from IATA yet. IAG is just a small cog in the IATA machine so I woouldn't expect many indicators to come out from them. Associations are a hot route for insider dealing and tend to be policed to such an extent that you can not get critical data from them - speaking with experience in civil engineering terms. IATA might be differnet, but I doubt it.

Ahhh yes, Holden Caufield.
