So, JohnNrth claims that he had information that the company was seeking alternative re-dom locations supplied directly and exclusively to him by an individual in the company. That would allow him to make trades ahead of disclosure to the market and distribute the market sensitive information to a limited audience that may have been advised to monitor his posts in order to receive such sensitive information before the market.
He claims this was unique information not revealed to the market by the company through either press release, interview, presentation or RNS previously. He has not named the individual at Polymetal International that released the unique market sensitive information.
Share price movement indicates a sudden reversal of the share price drop compared to the 25th and 26th January occurring on the 27th January, the same day the inside information was distributed to the limited network. The information can be considered of such importance that it would be capable of significantly influencing trading decisions compared to the information released and revealed during the 25thJanuary.
Whether JohnNth was used by the company or a co-conspirator working with the company will be a matter for the investigating team to determine.
If true, this would be a clear and deliberate case of insider dealing. This will be reported for investigation to the FCA by me, and by a number of others who have lost out heavily, especially in January, will also report this incident as they will be looking to form a class action to recover trading losses due to insider dealing.
