Oh, is this a new system where a company 'suprises' the share hoders on the day [or ex div day perhaps] what the dividend will be? Adds a bit of suspense and excitement to investing? So Nesis, in the spirit of this new suspense method, was able to claim big dividends will be paid, but not how much? What a sell, almost enough to persuade people to quickly buy shares on LSE before the company redoms and is forced to delist.

Well that about wraps it up then. Job done. You're all going to be given mountains of free money, it's almost as if any anemosity towards the 'west' actually doesn't exist and Russians really are going out of their way to line all your pockets. How generous of them.

You will hold a financial interest in a company with half its assets in a pariah country, Russia, because it will not be splitting and re-listing the KZ half back in London. 75% threshold to split wasn't chosen by accident!

All I see is a wide range of complex issues which nobody seems to have figured out and nobody is analysing correctly. It's like watching 100,000 lemmings hurling themselves of a cliff. Something is decidedly 'off' with this and following the rule 'if its too good to be true' leave it alone, I'm leaving it. I'd wait until I could fly over to KZ and check it out locally. And the question still nags and remains unanswered, why didn't Poly delist from LSE much earlier in order to pay out dividends if that is the most important objective of the board [minus the huge chunk of ESG handouts to the political and environmental lobby of course]. Why talk of splits when the vote is set up to practically ensure no split with a 75% threshold?

I note the campaign to fool people in to filtering me [or keeping me filtered] continues apace specifically to avoid as many people as possible being alerted to think about questions raised. THAT alone raises big red flags.

Nobody knows, not even the brokers and nearly all the brokers are refusing to trade Poly.

Read between the lines.

The Split vote requires a 75% threshold. One holder has 23% of the vote and is headed by Nesis which has been hostile to any split preferring to kick the can down the road, hence the mess you are all in now. The split vote is set up to be 99.999% certain it will not reach 75% and so the split will not happen. The LSE listing will be closed and AIX made the main exchange [until they announce somewhere like Moscow] and AZ the registered company domicile location [until they announce somewhere else such as Moscow].

And you are running around like headless chickens trying to convince yourselves you are going to benefit from this withdrawal from the west.

Read between the lines.

There is no ratio. Every single buy by has a counter part sell and vise-versa. Some algorithms and people find it useful to see whether the settlement price was above or below the mid. It gives a very rough in indication whether the mover of the trade was a buyer approaching the market or a seller. If you look at the same information in candlestick format, you don't refer to 'buys' and 'sells' and other systems go further with quartiles, moving averages and other chartist mumbo jumbo.

You can roughly say more people have approached the market to put there shares up for sale than approached the market to buy shares by a ratio and you can make whatever interpretations you want from that. But for everybody approaching the market there is an equal and opposite required to complete the transaction. It is fundamental. A market can not possible exist one without the other.

If there are no other parties interested in the approach on the open market, market makers are there to provide liquidity by offering a price. In return they can set the prices which in lower volume markets results in larger spreads reflecting the risk the market maker is taking.

A rising sp with a large market is not an indication that things are actually going well. Volume, interest in the share is a stronger indicator of sentiment.

The classification of buy or sell in the trades merely gives a rough indication of activity and can be very misleading, say if one organised group makes hundreds or thousands of small trades, it could look like there are more buyers than sellers than is actually the case fooling you into thinking something is going on.

What planet do you live on to believe this is otherwise the case? Explain exactly how I can possibly sell a share in any market on earth [or indeed any other planet in the universe] if there is not a buyer? Where does this share go? How do I receive the money for its value?

Really just goes to show what utter nonsense many of you post when you haven't got the first clue what you are talking about. And to think some pis are actually engaged with you in a conversation about the many complications and consequences of the company's redom proposal even when some are posting brokers saying they don't even know the answer.

No wonder there is a serious warning of scammers taking advantage of the situation.

My advice - don't trust a single contribution from any stranger on any chat anywhere. Go to your broker or independent financial advisor and only follow their advice.

OMG! How can you possibly confuse a trade with the market price? It is impossible to sell a single share if there isn't a buyer. It is impossible to buy a single share if there isn't a seller. It is the most fundamental elementary water flows down hill rule of trading.

The price is related to supply and demand. The original post asked "why so many are buying". There are by default the same number selling or there would be no trades. In all the training and descriptions of all the exchanges all over the planet this point is repeatedly made so a novice doesn't misinterpret what the market force on the trading price is saying. The declaration of the two way transaction as buy or sell based on the relative value against a mid price is merely to give some very rough and ready indication of the sp momentum direction and can be open to many varied interpretations [ask a chartist - they'll give you at least a thousand].

OMG chique, do go and read some basics. One benefit of your post, it allows pis to gain an insight into your lack of 'sophistication' and hence not take anything you say, or anything from any of the apparently deep meaningful conversations you have, seriously.

There are, and always is, an equal number of buyers and sellers. Even if the buyer or seller is a mm, there is always a one to one relationship.

Silence is golden? I would have expected an avalanche of replies explaining specifically the issues. We have been told by chique that you are all 'sophisticated' enough to know what you are doing. So, for the benefit of those who may not have such levels of sophistication, enlighten them so that they me conscious and aware of the situation they are investing in.

Golden rule in investing. Past performance is not a guide to future performance. The operating and trading environment has fundamental changed. Trying to argue it is the same company now as post war is not valid. A lot of rose tinted descriptions over ramping have returned much like the nonsense that was posted over much of last year that Ukraine would fall and Poly would return to £10+ a day or so later. Nonsense.

It appears the reason why this is all being made so complicated by various people. There are people offering to 'fix' the issue and deal with all the language and domicile complications [complications we are led to believe exist].

Beware offers of help, especially private offers. Never hand over any money or details to anybody offering help. Be very cautious following links to apparently legit companies. The links might be a scam web page.

Only deal directly with your broker, pension provider lor independent financial advisor.

Be warned. There are some sophisticated scamers out there. They always appear to be on your side, and always looking to protect you from that awful bug blue character!!!!!!

Post this warning for those duped into filtering me, although if they fell for that they've probably all ready been snared.

The question is, why did they not simply pay dividends by direct cheque last year if the only thing they need is a register? Everybody wanting dividends last year could easily have done the same thing as you are all doing, converting to certificates, register your certificates on the existing AIX and POLY sends dividend cheques direct bypassing the sanctioned electronic method. So why wasn't that done before?

Was it because there wasn't in fact any spare cash for dividends, and what is the current reality given the financial situation for the company is worse?
