I agree with you that I should not have been critical of Klepto's post. For that, I apologise to Klepto.

However, Surfit arrives out the blue with an opening statement about his hands-on experience FPSO (establishing his credibility) and then proceeds to write misleading (whether intentional or not) statements about what is required and how long it will take to hook up the buoy.

It's not offered as an opinion at this stage but is presented as fact.

Here's an example;

"HUR need tugs to hold vessel in position, ROVSV x1 and Anchor handling Tug (AHT) for pick up and transfer to the rigging teams onboard"

None of this is true. If it had of been presented as an opinion, I wouldn't have a problem with it but it's presented as the gospel by somebody who says he has lots of FPSO experience. This will mislead the uniformed on here.

As I say, he should have done his homework before spouting a load of old tosh. Harsh but true.

It would help if you read my post again.

I said that I contacted HUR yesterday and can confirm from my communication with them that the buoy was not damaged by the aborted hook up on the 18th January. It is ready to go.

With regard to the AM, I would refer you to the recent RNS. I've picked out the relevant bit below.

"the Aoka Mizu FPSO has returned to the Cromarty Firth to complete remediation work on the buoy pull-in system and prepare for the next opportunity to pull in the buoy"

So it reads to me that some minor repair work was required to the buoy pull-in system but I would assume that will have been completed by now, as HUR are already referring to the next weather opportunity in the RNS.

It's all about the weather and patience now.

It was "September onwards" and not "September" that RT said in the interview recorded in late 2017.

The key here is the word "onwards"

Please use it in future quotes as you are in danger of misleading people.

What was the lie that RT told anyway ? I'm not clear on this at all. Please just put what he said in quote marks and that way I won't get all confused.

To say there were "straight out untruths" said at the last AGM is slander and I challenge you to detail those supposed lies on here and we'll see what other posters who were at the that AGM think. There are at least 12 of us in attendance as you well know.

I don't think anybody owning HUR stock should have to think it's all "sweetness and light" and we both know it's not but you seem to think the BOD never put a foot right and are on here criticising them at every opportunity.

That is your prerogative but all I am saying is that if I was this unhappy with a BOD, I wouldn't own their stock.

I explained why the BOD should take up the SIP.

It would look very odd if they were not to participate and it's only for a relatively small number of free shares anyway, so agin I don't understand why you see it as such a big issue.

I really think you should dump your HUR stock. If I was as unhappy as you seem to be with the BOD that's what I would do.

Also, I was at the last AGM and I don't recall any "straight out untruths".

Just an observation and I hope you don't take offence but I have noticed that on quite a few occasions you seem to get the wrong end of the stick or misinterpret what you have been told. Maybe that is an issue you need to be more aware of.

Can't see what your problem is here. It's no big deal.

Firstly, all company participants have to put some of their own money into the scheme and only at that stage do the company add "bonus" shares.

It is performance related. HUR ultimately have to deliver, otherwise at 45.86p (market rate) participants will lose some of their own money. These schemes are not typically tied into complicated targets and milestones anyway.

Whilst some of us on here are lucky enough to have a decent amount invested and will do very well out when (if) HUR deliver as expected, that doesn't mean all their employees are in the same boat, so it's good to see them get an option of an larger holding than they might otherwise have been able to afford. It's a great performance incentive too.

As with all these schemes, it runs across the board and all employees are entitled to take part.

I understand that the BOD have some big options going forward but it would look very odd if the BOD did not participate and the dilution of all these new shares is only about 0.04% anyway.

Just for once give the BOD a break. Maybe you should start an AIM listed company sometime.

I cannot wait for the AGM and fully expect you to be asking questions there.

Afternoon Chaps,

Just to let you all know that I have been in contact with HUR regarding the buoy/turret and can conform that it was not damaged in any way by the events of last Friday and is ready to go as soon as there is a decent weather window.

If there had of been a problem, then HUR would have had to announce it to the market anyway, but I just wanted to check for my own peace of mind and thought it worth sharing on here.

Agreed. There does look to be a rather nice 12 hour window on Monday with swell (yes I know there are other parameters too) under 2m.

However, next weekend (2nd/3rd Feb) looks very good indeed for a whole 48 hours and my feeling would be that having had a problem last time they will wait for a decent length weather opening.

We will know soon enough when the AM moves but at least we are seeing suitable weather conditions amongst all the rough.

Nothing "odd" about the rise into the close.

There was a massive build (+8M barrels) in the EIA report at 4:00 GMT. Everybody probably expected oil to head south rapidly but it did the opposite and HUR and many other oil companies reacted to the oil news accordingly. So, nothing "odd" to report here.

What this tells me is that the market wants oil to continue in the gentle uptrend it now finds itself with the bottom for Brent in at $60. Obviously, this is only my opinion but that's what it looks like to me.

It's a right bummer because I listened to thestreet and sold out my entire holding (every single last share) at under 45p and I'm now in a right old pickle and don't know whether to buy back in now or wait for that 40p he was promising.

I wish he'd told me to sell at 47p when he did. There's me thinking he's the charitable type. Never mind.

Only joking. Never ever take buying/selling advice from a poster on a BB. In my experience, nobody decent posts their trades on a BB and encourages others to trade in a similar fashion. Only people with a selfish agenda do that.

It would be helpful if you or IJWT or anybody on here could produce a written document (from HUR or Bluewater) stating the latest date that BW contractually agreed to have the AM ready by..

I've not seen one and without it how can anybody claim the AM was delivered late.

It may not have been ready to sail when most expected, particularly after RT's comments in late 2017 about September onwards (onwards being the operative word) but that's not to say it was contractually late. That is a different ball game.

If it was contractually late then that's a matter between DDD and BW.

HUR never officially said anything and I bet RT regrets dropping that comment at a time when things were obviously going very smoothly at DDD.

My personal view is that there was unforeseen work or DDD messed up late in the programme and the sail away slipped accordingly. Unfortunately, these things happen. Maybe it would have been better too use a yard nearer home but again nobody on here has the information to make a call on that one.

Unless anybody has some written documentation/article/company announcement, then I suggest it's best forgotten as it no longer matters anyway. We are where we are and hopefully a WW will open up soon.

Obviously it would have been better if the hook up could have been done in September/October last year but that's hypothetical now.

Probably best forgotten until the AGM and if anybody is that interested then they can ask one of the BOD.
