Thank you for the detail about the results - they are almost spot on with Jeffries Bank predictions and the consequent share price movement is exactly what we should expect from this share.

It will pick up again as the market digests what it has been fed today - at least, I hope it will. It does seem to be moving that way.

I just read the Jeffries Bank opinion on CCL. Higher costs, lower revenue and profits yet they still rate the share as a “buy” with a target price some 50% above where it is now.

Which half of their guff are we supposed to believe?

PS that “other bank” is slowly creeping towards my average of £2.75. Don’t tell Sid, though.

The track record seems to have been a rise prior to the results, steady while they’re digested (that is, some analyst or MM finds a trivial negative item) then a drop, then a rise next day.

Probably best advice is shut your eyes, turn off all comes etc. and come back on Friday for a peek from behind the sofa.

You can tell I am an experienced investor, can’t you. It’s why Bot entrusted me with the share price over the last two weeks.

Yes, not bad. Even NatWest has an uptick over the last few days, despite going XD last week.

I have some other small bits and pieces which I might dispose of - I’m sure you know of a few as well - the hoping against hope that they will pick up. Past experience though is that as soon as I sell, the price goes up because someone has hinted they want to buy the company!

I shall have failed in the task that Bot set me, of course, but at least it seems to be going in tge right direction……….at the moment!

Morning all. What a pleasant surprise this morning! Anyone got a clue why? Cannot surely be to do with the BoE decision? Much more influenced by the Fed - maybe because both are optimistic about inflation?

That’s a bit harsh, Sun? The SP is up 30p on the day. But it did drift a bit towards close here, so you’re probably right about some profit-taking.
