Bot and I have failed against the top-heavy management structure that Carnival bears, all on pretty fancy salaries and bonuses, I expect.

I used to work for a multi-national and it’s well-nigh impossible to avoid. You need local management plus a central bunch, who don’t actually generate much ,if any, revenue to co-ordinate and consolidate etc. It is a difficult balance to achieve. There are also some retired board members retained as “consultants”. The last one I saw was on a five-year contract at $1m p.a.

Like Bot said, YR, it’s voted on at each AGM and goes through on the nod, pretty well. Next AGM isn’t until next year, so you’ll be OK until then, at least!

OBC depends on owning 100 shares. On P & O, that will give OBC of up to £150 on a two week cruise or longer, less for shorter ones.

L, the debt is being managed extremely carefully. Carnival have refinanced several tranches to reduce interest payments and are on track to achieve investment grade in 2026.

Results at the end of this month will give you more detail. BTW, investing in new ships will further increase revenue.

Absolutely no idea what he means and don’t think he does either.

Debt for equity usually means exchanging the money you’re owed for shares. But Carnival would have to tell the SEC and announce via RNS if they had issued more paper. Haven’t seen that or that they have sold off shares held in treasury.

I think we just have be very wary of any predictions about this crazy share! Holding it is 99% of the fun/frustration!

That’s why I ain’t had the message - we shall be Caribbean at the end of our July one. Still a way to go - but we’re very unlikely to get into the higher tiers as we ten to do only one cruise a year.

Why are folk getting upset about it? If you have done the trips you don’t get the )something or others - couldn’t think of a rhyme). That is one thing I do find about P & O - you don’t have to go far to find a moaner/whinger.
