Mainly why we stick to P & O, adults only, if possible.

You don’t have to buy soft drinks as they are free in the buffet. Speciality dining is extra, of course but not excessively so. If you’ve travelled with them a few times you also get a discount on everything you spend after using up your OBC. Suits us very well. Yes, cruise prices have risen, but name something that hasn’t.

Thank you, Bot. I only realised after that last post that it was a share buy-back by the bank, with a positive statement by the new/latest CEO.

I can’t take too much credit as I bought in some while ago at £2.85 so am up around 15%. The share still seems undervalued to me, especially when Barclays reckon the right rate for the final sell off to Joe Public is around £4.

I see that HMG has sold another chunk of shares in NatWest - stake now down to 22.5%.

Sometimes this share behaves as you would expect - but that is a rare occurrence. Mostly it moves in a direction that defies logic, charts, explanations and history. Al, part of the fun.

As Bot says, 2026 (got it right this time!) is the year to wait for.

I agree about Divi’s from CCL that 2926 looks most likely. Expect them to achieve investment grade then as well. I guess there might be a rule that stops them paying earlier.

P & O insist on it. Mind you it’s easy to be caught out - like tge couple who discovered that, when they tried to claim, because they lived in Spain and boarded a cruise starting in Barcelona, were not covered because their insurance stipulated that their holiday must start and end in the UK.

In former times we flew back from Barbados with Virgin, same thing, upgrade from Premium Economy to Upper Class. I seem to remember we were told to stand in the “Z” zone for a few moments then found ourselves in UC.

Only long haul flight since then was to Boston for wife’s brother’s memorial service in Boston with BA Premium Economy. Old aeroplane, broken bits in the cabin so shifted seats, then bits didn’t work. Awful. Got some Avios as compensation.

Hi Bot. Sympathise hugely with the tinnitus issue.

I got hearing aids two years ago and some days do not have it at all but it’s always there on waking in the morning. Occasional day is bad but made up for by better ones!

Sadly unlikely to meet on a ship as we only do P & O. Their best show has been “Killer Queen”, brilliant tribute to Freddie M and the group. Seen that a number of times. Enjoy your cruise. We are on Arcadia on 11th July up to Lerwick and back.
