Campaigns like "Umar made us do it" and pretty little wishes leave me in no doubt of that. He is doing both strategy and hands on management.

Now if they are paying him £2m as a salary that is plain stupid. If however, he is on a revenue or profit based bonus, I don't care if it's £2m as long as he gets PlT back to somewhere near where it was in the next couple of years and ahead in the long term.

As I keep saying, all we get is hysterical talk of £2 when we don't even know if it is true or how it is structured if it is true

I've worked for companies where CEO' of entire countries didn't sit on the board of the main or subsid companies. I also worked for a major utility where the sales director was a consultant. Maybe that's why I don't see that particular part as a big thing

Umar isn't a board director so highly unlikely the remuneration committee would be involved.

Outside of placings how much money does Boo get from share transactions? Zero

To remind you, all the supposed news is alleged and likely in breach of GDPR

Fed whenever I have worked for large companies, salaries are confidential until details are published for people exercising significant control in the accounts.

So the question that maybe should be asked is who has allegedly passed this information on to Frasers. Given Umar has only been back at PLT a matter of month, it is quite likely illegal, hence Frasers being so circumspect. And that is assuming it is true, which is still a big assumption
