I disagree with most on this one, I don't think this is manipulation or shorters. Lets not forget shorters have already sold, so they would have to short again to keep this down. For me this is simply a reaction to an Oil price that was at the top of it's range $70 and has dropped 2% today. Add to that we are heading into a 4 day weekend and your day traders are not going to want to hold this over such a long period, with the potential to come back on Tuesday with Oil at $64-$63. I'm not saying it will but the risk averse will wait until after the bank holiday before loading up again. I know I am.

Bbc and Google both published reputationally damaging information

The story is true, but I just can't see the sp dropping 12% (or 15% as Google now has it.) That would be 6billion drop on only a multi million pound fine that was awarded to gsk. The numbers seem way off but I guess we'll know in an hour

Checked a few places and cant see a 12% drop apart from on Google.

Well managed to make some moves today to double down on this. Did not get in at 502 when I should. But 505 ain't bad.

Might remove the upper sell limit on this now and wait a month to see what happens. Depending on the outcome could be a little uplift in the SP

Waiting for the US markets to open to see if I can load up a few more a little lower. Also end of the week comes forward tomorrow so I'm sure some people will cash out rather than hold over the Easter break.

Could be another drop today given the drops in America yesterday and the price of oil.

Yes this site does seem to get a bit wonky at the closing bell. I'm in other stocks and yesterday at the close they showed the wrong sp. I think it was showing the previous days closing price.

I suppose it depends on what level of capital you are day trading. But its way out of my league. For a 2% return you would need at least 5000 to just make 100 quid a day. You mis time the trade and you are selling at a loss or holding for an indeterminate amount of time. I'm assuming day traders would laugh off £100, so you need a pretty substantial sum to start with to make any significant gains over a short period. To rich for my tastes. A slow and steady plodder here.

Well I bought this for the Dividend about 6 months ago, thinking it was a stable share with a good return. I got the good return part right but the only stability it has shown so far has been to decrease in value. Hopefully this is a sign of better things to come. A blue day across all my holdings today. Maybe I should quit whilst I'm behind, but not quite as far behind as yesterday.

Given the volatility of this share I'd say up or down 4% a day is probably to be expected. Over a month I've been down up to 30%. Just set your targets and your time line then review when you hit them. I'm looking at a time line of 3-4 years and doubling my initial investment. If it doubles in 2 months I'll review. If in 3 years I'm only 20% up I'll maybe look for a better value share.

Just the natural day to day cycle of a share. Not all up and down movements are linked to news. Sometimes it's just the prevailing wind of the day.

Indeed I am also in petrofac which is a far heavier shorted share. They are in recovery mode and doing pretty good business for me. Calling the bottom is always tricky, the biggest issue for me is the random factor of trump. Every time he tries to single handedly destroy world trade it pushes world markets down. I think pretty much all the bad news is priced into the capita share price now, but trump is not helping.
