Believe me I want Tesco to thrive. I want all British companies to do well, keeps us all in work etc. I got caught out in Lloyds in 2008, buying to many and thinking "this is lloyds bank, it can`t fail". If it was not for gov intervention it would have gone down the pan. years later I got out with a few pounds in profit but it was a lesson. Now Tesco, well not as bad as lloyds, have followed a similar path, bad accounting, bad debts, bad decisions, bad buys no divi etc. People were very bullish with Lloyds after crash and I was as guilty as anyone not seeing the true picture. Once bitten twice shy I am very wary of Tesco. I may dabble here eventually but not till I like the fundamentals better. However I wish you well, I may question your thoughts from time to time but only in the interest of knowledge. If you find something new and positive excellent, bring it on. GL.

We can all cherry pick where we want to get pension figures from opers- The supermarket chain reported ( TESCO`s OWN FIGURES IF THEY CAN BE TRUSTED) a pension deficit increase of £2.9bn to £5.5bn from £2.6bn the previous year. The rise has been attributed to falling interest rates and higher inflation. This from April this year, PENSIONSage. There are others stating the same if you research. Now which ever figure is correct it still is not good. Head out of sand time again you old guff bucket PS, Would you like to have a go at glossing over how many of the Tesco stores are actually owned not rented? Over 50% rented. I will get correct figure after your Tesco accounting style answer. How`s the mothballed Chatteris store doing? Another Tesco failure at great cost.
