If this was a Pinocchio competition it would be close. We now have the libs going to build like hell . I have some sad news for them unless we have a blinding winter, build numbers will be down this year, compared to last year! We have lost a lot of time this year weather wise . Wages haven’t gone up in last couple of years. I know next job we are expecting about another 5% increase but I can’t see that affecting much. Must admit house prices down south have stagnated or gone down. So must be predicting further downturn. Either that or my fruit is breaking the bank!

Hello all
Had interesting chat with some bricklayer friends on persimmons. They are having massive problems with these concrete bricks they have produced. Apparently they are cracking in the joints and its costing a fortune to rake them out and stitching in metal bars with resin. Also from now on they are putting in tram lines ,to try to stop the cracking. Shouldn’t be long before they stop production and go back to the brick companies! One would think. Anyway look forward to tomorrow. Gl and enjoy

Just in.Well today was a waste of time, been about six weeks now of sh.. weather! At this rate we will never catch up to the governments build program. Must be a million and one house behind now lol. Maybe we can dream of a Indian summer. Bol

It’s always funny when people talk about timber frame housing , trying to convince people this might be the way forward. But you always find anyone who has ever dealt with this style of build, would never buy one preferring traditional build houses! Just a question what happened to them prefab houses they were going to import from China. That’s gone quite. Here’s to Wednesday hopefully be a good update!

Bamps it’s to do with this considerate constructors. Gone are the days off eating on the oversize and toileting in a bucket. The good old days ??

Tom and Bamps you like me have been in the industry a long time and have seen how the sites have changed! For the better in my opinion and this comes at cost out of profits. Take welfare facilities for example my facilities are better than my wife’s and she works for the Nhs. We even get free fruit everyday, who would of thought that twenty years ago. Anyway have a good weekend all

If labour did get in would us tradies have to go on the cards ? Also would the sites become union jobs? Might be good for my back gla and have a good weekend!

Raining here so been talking to a brick Barron friend about persimmons. He was saying they have cut 200 of the plot builds , in this region for this region! He says it’s so they can concentrate on improving the quality! What do you reckon? All the best

Good graphs I was just working on the fact that south east and London have been most affected by brexit and the inflated house prices.
