I thought I had a great average at 215 ! Still think it’s good but not as good as what it is now. Still we get a nice 20c divi just wait for our rise. Luckily I have no debt and a good job so can wait

It will be interesting set of results this quarter! That’s every company especially the oillies. I am sure there’s some sort of stitch up going on especially with the house builders. I can’t see how this virus is affecting them so badly.gl

I know I said I might be greedy and try and get in at 170 , but this is mental. Sit on your hands time and batten down the hatches. Taken a drubbing on Glencore but hopefully will still get the divi and wait. Gl we need it a lot of pensions been hammered

Hi also forgot to mention you don’t pay stamp duty on Glencore, so could be a good trading share. I think it’s because there Hq is in Switzerland

The bit I was referring to on the ibstock trading update, was the bit about the slow down of the last quarter in brick purchase from the house builders. I can see psn going back to brick merchants, they get a far better price than me and you, people also like the variety! The only reason they went that way was for supply.

I do like the idea of hydrogen as you know. My son in law told me about them start up ones in Germany. But I think the ollies are invested heavily into these companies, so I think they will control the pace of development. Just my opinion

Enough of that, as you all know I thought the last trading statement was going to be bad, so I ploughed it all into Glencore, at what I thought and still do think is a good price 215 average, then this happened so stuck for a while! Was hoping to get in at 190 before that trading statement, giving a nice 10% divi. But it flew , well done all for that! I still think there will be a bad trading update should be next one I think, purely on lost time. I know they work on 12-16 week build program and they could well have had houses in stock . So looking at the position now I will be gready and look at 170 buy in , might have to draw some out of my personal account for that! Will have to see. If it helps look at the trading statement for ibstock dated 16th jan Anyway good luck and god bless

Well that’s okay because tonight booked in for lobster chowder, rib eye and then either tiramisu or strawberry cheesecake, washed down with litres of red wine! I was reading your debate about carbon and deforestation and the peat bogs with interest.
I still cannot understand why the G8 countries have not put into law a certain % of the tax from oil ,mining , and travel companies. Also maybe a few other industries as well. Use the money to buy up the forest areas or places of importance. Turn them into international areas policed by the G8 and protect them just like Antarctica. I was in Costa Rica last year and guide says there government gets paid green credits from the G8 to not cut the forest down so they have things in place! Anyway good luck and hopefully the rain will subside and give us a break!
