all in pain Stu - but as per my other notes, there's already nil value in the share for OBC activity - it only reflects the share of ADVFN now!
That should at least keep the price grounded in the mid 20's as a bottom

I keep reviewing the ADVFN share that OBC owns - we're just about at the place where the portion of ADVFN that is owned by OBC is the whole current m/c of OBC - literally nil value to any activities or assets of the plc itself.
ADVFN m/c of £18m - of which £3.5M is OBC's - current m/c of OBC is £4M - all rounded numbers, i'm sure if you calculate it exactly there's a tiny bit of margin, but you get my drift

we have a distressed seller, now I'm more certain of it. There's no activity here except a seller who will accept any price.
Zero buyers and just one seller = price fall.

Would be great, but as ever the jam needs to be more today than tomorrow for that kind of shift.
These results are promising for the future, but we may have to be patient for the share price rise, based on a solid cash plan to make profit - or a buyout/sale of resource

Possibly because the 40% uplift over here in the last 2 days already overprices the news according to them.
More detail on how this will monetise and what placings etc will be needed to make some real money out of the early results will help.

Risk aversion causing some sales - which is fair enough. why not hedge your risk in case the news is bad, maybe some of these are short term trades from punters in below 2.3p. If you hold a portion and the price rockets you still make money, just less than if you'd gambled all in.

Your research (with Dubjon) is now ahead of mine! I wasn't aware of the Reyker Securities ownership or administration issue - so indeed this could be a distressed seller. It would potentially put an extra 11% into general circulation and explain some block sales, but the daily volume isn't showing 1,000,000 sells over many weeks.
I would expect Reyker Securities have purchased a placing or suchlike in past times?

Not aware of any such distressed seller - this company is still substantively in the hands of the same Chambers crew who own ADVFN - hence the large share of ADVFN held here.
I suspect we have had some short termers jumping on the Bitcoin bubble earlier in the year, getting burnt, and now everybody is scared of sector "relatives" like this. I can only quote Warren Buffet about the greedy and the fearful...
Note that the volumes are still very small here and with such a low free float a small piece of good news could move this a great deal.

Yes. ADVFN is profitable and it's price is rising.
The value of OBC's share of ADVFN and its profits almost entirely underwrite the value of OBC at these silly prices.
I have no idea who the bright sparks are that are selling - albeit the price of OBC is dropping on very very low volumes indeed.

And now the company that is "finished and a strong sell" starts to pay dividends..... :-)

The whole bitcoin/binance issues with UK regulators jumping up and down after China did isn't helping the sector, that's for sure...
However, this won't be a penny stock anytime soon because OBC own nearly 20% of AFN and that has a market cap of £18M right now. As we stand the whole market cap of OBC isn't much higher than that stake's value alone.

Don't tell Starchild, remember this is a strong sell :-)

What is the point?
I mean you come here with stories of doom and gloom for no good reason - I can only assume you are a cheap shorter - there's simply no reason to behave in this way otherwise.
Here is a business trading at 20x and growing, with a clear and obvious takeover or at the very least increased hostile stakeholding being built. I'm sure you don't like their BB's - good for you, that doesn't make the business a strong sell.

Classic saw tooth pattern - sharp rise, gentle trickle down, then a sharp rise - rinse and repeat.
I reckon the impatient will take a profit on small trades if they expected a quick buck - but when the next news comes I agree this could bounce up to mid £1 odd

I expect to be quicker than the woodsman and I have an unwritten profit point in my mind.
I am happy to allow this to run though because at this market cap it's very liable to spike without warning.
I got a great return out of the last spike and bought in again after, but at the moment am back underwater - that's the game.

I don't know the dynamics of any European blockchain shares, so apologies I can't offer the answer - maybe they have a more mature shareholding that knows they are not affected by bitcoin, but OBC gets the UK and US market blues?
I agree it's fallen lower than I anticipated too, but we see how this moves on such a low m/c and float, so if you can tuck these in the proverbial sock drawer I'm certain they'll come strong.
