it's all valid strategy!
I don't like to set sell limits because in the past I've waited patiently for a rise, but inevitably find when my back is turned the shares sold and then I missed the spike....
If Stu was to set a sell limit at say 40p now on OBC, it would possibly trigger at the start of a rally and then he's switch back on and find it's gone over £1 again just like when he purchased last time.
Of course, it can also give you a secure return and this is valuable to many investors......
