how can you possibly justify saying Startart is profitable - we have absolutely ZERO numbers yet.
You have also chosen to ignore the "unallocated" central costs which are £0.5m in 6 months - these need to be paid for before we pronounce activity as profitable.
LVCG makes a big loss because LCSE makes a very small book profit in 2021 and a loss in the last accounts - Frankfurt made £83k. Startart has NO DATA.

Antha - I believe TB sold all of his AUK holding with the first round of BRH purchasing Aukett - basically as you say we were used to pay up TB for his shares. There were RNS's here and on AUK when this happened.
But this latest purchase I believe is beyond that and the mind does boggle

Yes, that's the key to whether this is a good thing or a bad thing....
If Jason Lee lights a fire under a great concept and makes a big splash then 49% of a success story in the future is good.
If we could have done this without him we could have had 100% of the jam, then the deal looks bad.

I'm undecided on this one - I do see the need for some proper expertise to make this work - DC and his team haven't filled me with confidence - I just hope we haven't pawned the family silver cheaply to get that expertise though.

He will now take the K.FLEX concept and (we pray) organise additional (new) events under the banner, for which he gets 51% and we have an option on 49%.

I still hold out for the Phasefocus sale - that will cause a brief surge in interest and hopefully provide a better exit point, but obviously that could take a while and leaves funds tied up in a paper loss.
Not a great situation, is it? Can't blame anybody for choosing to hold or choosing to sell.

So I asked the question - who is Jason Lee, what are we getting for our £300k? what have we given up to get this deal?
Now we know at least. We have a 49% option on K.Flex organised by Jason Lee in the future.
We are diluted into the bargain.
This serves to keep the wolf from the door in terms of working cash and means future growth of K.FLEX will be for somebody else to enjoy a slice of, rather than all ours.
This can only work if Jason Lee has a strong business brain, does stuff we couldn't and we get 49% of something instead of 100% of nothing.

I'm sure there are cheap stocks out there to top up on Castle.
Just not this one.
On the bright side, this has fallen 25p since the start of 2022 - it can't drop more than 9p from here.

I agree with you that getting any kind of profit from the first concert was good.
I like the "smells what sells" analogy too.
BUT - look at the SP - The hype before about "profits the size of market cap" turned out to be rubbish, as did all our calculations about the bottom line benefit to us (merch, sponsorship and streaming) were far below hopes.
Bricklive hasn't helped either BTW.
I agree with you that O2 in November is good news and shows a repeatable model- if this concert in November returns a net profit too.
There needs to be a change and significant improvement for 2023 in order for us to get better returns as shareholders in LVCG - we all hope that "somebody" has learned lessons about grandiose promises and has put more effort into actual delivery!

MB10 - sorry but no. The Frankfurt event was put on by KPE.
Even if it were the case that other promoters/parties were making money, we are shareholders in LVCG only - The accounts for LVCG are what are relevant to us and they show the total revenue and profit and how 50% then goes to KPE.
merchandising was £350k - as per LVCG's own RNS.
Ticket sales are the interesting bit - what LVCG's accounts seem to show is the "net revenue" - I believe they quoted break even there was 24,000 day 1 and 20,000 day 2 (something of that order?).
I would like to know why they haven't shown gross sales and then gross costs for tickets.

End of the day (as shareholders of LVCG) Frankfurt paid us up £83k which was swallowed by losses elsewhere in the group - there's no escaping this. It is irrelevant if anybody else made money because that's not ours. It is reasonable to assume that future concerts will operate the same way - we hope with extra returns on sponsorship and merchandising, but it's all hopes and not materialised yet.

I don't understand where you get your numbers from MB10 - the accounts posted Sept 30th clearly show the following for KPOP:
Total revenue for LVCG in it's entirety for 6 months ended June 30th - £2.606M of which £977k was KPOP.
That £977k derived a total profit of £166k of which £83k is attributable to LVCG.
The whole thing made £166k including merchandising of which we got £83k because we are 50% partners.
There's no other unattributed revenue declared which could be merchandising.
