el19 - spot on , everyone has different opinions , some seek to mislead some don't .
I answered the preceding post regarding guesses/dates on the sweepstake and Posters O&G experience - that's all and I never come to any real conclusion - but I would like to add that there are some on here (Ricfle and others) that haven't set foot offshore , but are still more clued-up then some of the "teashack-warriers" that have been offshore for 20+ years .- research is as key as experience on this share .
If you have worked in drydocks , and I don't doubt you , then you , more than most , will know that projects get delayed , work scopes slip or are carried over on most O&G projects - more so with the Majors Oil Companies . Just look at the last time the Hokey Pokey Mizu went into dry docks in Rotterdam --- it was there for an extra 6 months over the original plan - it happens buddy.
I just think that talk about out-of-court settlements is premature , but that is my opinion .
I look forward to the hook-up announcement next year --- tied in with an operational update which may give us an inclination why the extended stay in Rotterdam was required . And yes I did think it would take a week , so did the Doc , and many others - but things happen , plans change . - now where did I put the Cork-Screw.

At least 4 of the peeps that chose 2019 work in the OIG business. Of the 8 Earlier guesses , only 1 (max) has any O&G industry experience .

More interesting would be looking at industry experience coupled with experience in the stock markets .

I stick by both my guesses ( date and SP ) although the date may be a couple of weeks later than my prediction .

there is nothing to settle , nothing has gone wrong , just maybe a week more in Rotterdam and we are hopefully away ….
peeps this is not your car going in for a MOT , it is a huge project that has been extremely well managed so far (imo) , we will deliver Q1 next year , and the impatient retail investors will be smiling again and campaigning to give the Doc a knighthood . so fickle are some …………………

Yusyus - they would only be registered at Companies House in order to meet the residency criteria for the licence application. They will also have had to provide evidence that they have the dosh and technical know-how to fulfil the licence criteria to at least get the prospects drill-ready. OGA regularly ask the FCA and HMRC to run checks , and in the past any bidder neede a UK base or office (not sure if this is still a requirement) .
So no conspiracy , those guys will have been properly checked out before OGA rubber stamped the application .

DC and Biff . anyone that contacted the company by email asking if the SE deal had led to delays through additional work would have been/were told a definitive NO , but only in relation to delays from Dubai . Not from Rotterdam

DaveB. You are correct, but I propose , and ask , that the source and any further detailed information on work done or disclosed to you sub-rosa remains so. As we previously discussed , it may be extremely prudent not to pass on other info until fully substantiated by either Bluewater or Hurricane , particularly on this forum .

As for those that choose to defame RT and other Directors , all I would say is that if you have attended any AGMs ,you will know that the Board may not be slick like some, but are very credible, truthful and honest IMO . But as always, plans and situations change and the BOD do what they are paid to do - they manage the company, hopefully make the correct calls and react accordingly .

We could debate till dawn as to what constitutes a delay of any significance and scrutinise what RT said/didn't say a year ago , but a year ago Spirit were not officially in the picture . What has been achieved by a few good men and woman has been incredible - The FPSO is debatably a week away from being connected to the sea-bed , a few spools to connect and the Risers Manifold and wells are ready to go , another week or two for to flush the system and vessels , prime with Diesel and Nitrogen , check flow metres , final leak tests and we could powering up the ESP by the end of Jan . Great work I say , Bravo , Hurray .

Some may recall at an AGM a couple of years back when an astute elderly gentleman voiced his opinion, along the lines of - "This is O&G Exploration, it is high risk and high reward, it is not for everyone - if it is not for you then move along". The project has moved along substantially since those days but the context of the message extant .
