Well Dr Jose Saro will know a great deal about Avactas affimer research/development as he held the position of Medical Director at Avacta, where he led the Affimer program development strategy through to clinical phases. Surely if there really is mileage in our cancer treatment therapy he will make it known to AZ and possibly others...

Noxxon Pharma: Jose Saro to chair Scientific Advisory Board
Biopharmaceutical company Noxxon Pharma, primarily developing cancer treatments by targeting the tumor microenvironment (MET), announces the formation of its Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) and the appointment of Dr. Jose Saro, MD, as its chairman. Dr. Saro is currently working at AstraZeneca, where he leads the program for the early clinical development of a post-PARP ceralasertib inhibitor in solid tumors. Previously, he held the position of Medical Director at Avacta, where he led the Affimer program development strategy through to clinical phases.
