There is so much going on with regards to our affimers and Deepverge for one, put out the following RNS in March. The point which seems to have been missed is the GAD tie into low income countries and Avacta has referenced this.

Why has the UK Govt given this contract to GAD?

Is this a two fold operation whereby the UK Govt is going to have LFTs produced for both low income countries to purchase and for UK use and the former is to a) help offset the costs and/or b) to ship out to our commonwealth countries and/or c) by making sure a gold standard test is out there in low income countries the data feedback will give us and the World a better handle on new variants popping up and real comparisons regarding poss and new cases.

Is the UK Govt trying to make the UK LFT the one of choice globally...sales outward not purchases inward...
It's the fact the Govt has put in the option of licencing out the manufacture IP that got me thinking. It would also be a job creator in low income nations too...

1. Avacta is the developer of the affimer technology and we partnered with Mologic in the development of a test kit using this technology.
2. Mologic is the producer of the test kit which will incorporate Avactas affimer technology.
3. GAD is a production division of Mologic and will be manufacturing the Mologic test kit which incorporates the Avacta affimer technology.

If you go back and read the Avacta RNS announcing the partnership with Mologic and then our Finals RNS, they make more sense based on the info in this contract and award timescales etc.

Avacta are not in the business of manufacturing. They have said all along their business model is about licencing.

Rolly..if we make 50M just on a royalty licence deal..with no costs on our part and no carrying of paper..the market will love it..its pure profit straight to the bottom line.

Rollyroll...this is just the UK Govt contract. Remember we are the test developer and any sales to European or other Govts/companies will be on a direct basis with us and we then engage others to manufacturer for us. This is a scratch my back partnership and there will be lots of different sales deals and different manufacturing locations/ deals. We have to stop thinking one size fits all...
Remember in parallel we are submitting CE for consumer use too.

13.3.2.(i)...I think we are the test developer referred to and the redacted name us Mologic and they missed out some reactions.
The contract will be with GAD as the manufacturer and Mologic is the supplier referred to in the reductions as its a 7 letter redaction and we are the Test Developer referred to.
That's how I read it.

Of you read the Mologic Partnership RNS it's an Avacta test but as we are using the Mologic CE and ISO it will be under their banner as a quick route to market.
