This is what FIND say about false positives....

'a test with high performance (95%
sensitivity and 98% specificity), when applied to a low?prevalence setting, will result in roughly the same
number of true positives and false positives (PPV: ~50%),
whereas when applied to a higher prevalence population would result in a much higher positive predictive value (PPV: 95%), with the majority of positive results associated with actual cases. Alternatively, the use of a mid-or lower-performing test might be considered for
a high prevalence population (PPV: 68-78%), but would lead to such high numbers of false positives when testing a low prevalence population that this would likely do more harm than good.
Across a range of sensitivities and prevalence, the negative predictive value remains relatively high, but the consequence of missed cases for epidemic control and case management can be detrimental.'

Gemstar...I've pointed you all in the right direction. It's now up to you to dig a bit deeper as I have.
FIND have carried out tests and their conclusion is too many of the have high false negatives and they are not happy with this. They prefer to go with a test that doesn't generate high levels if false negatives as, in their words, it would defeat the overall objective of accurate testing.
Now which test can offer this.

Avactas RNS announcing the partnership with Mologic clearly states the aim and GAD works with the Institute in Senegal ...
Also, many of these country accept The UK CE/MHRA as a standard/conformity they too can accept. Rather like the old BS system which carried weight around the World.
If you're not convinced, that's fine, but Avacta have made it clear enough and I've just presented a little more background insight.... we will see shortly.

That doc was Dec 2020 and it says one of the first developed was an antibody test...

For once and for all..we have the CE Mark but it is the Declaration of Conformity for the CE mark which has to be registered with the MHRA...
Now move on...

Now if you'd stop bickering for a minute and read the following it tells you exactly what is going on with the Govt, Mologic/GAD, the B&M Gates Foundation (mentioned in Avacta RNS which announced our partnership with Mologic..did you never ask why they were mentioned), Senegal Institute etc etc....and it looks like our tests could be used/developed for other nasty diseases too...

Enhanced capacity for quality assure manufacturing of rapid tests in LMICs has been enabled with UK investment along with establishment of a partnership between UK based Mologic Ltd. and a new non-profit initiative called DiaTropix run by the Institut Pasteur in Dakar, Senegal, with its main mission to promote access to diagnostics in Africa as a priority, through the development, production, and distribution of rapid diagnostic tests. As well as COVID-19, this facility will provide rapid tests for yellow fever, Ebola, measles, rubella and bacterial meningitis. One of the first tests produced at DiaTropix is the accelerated development of a COVID-19 antibody rapid test has been made possible by funding from UK Aid, receiving around £1 million of the £46 million the UK government has announced so far for international coronavirus prevention and research.'

This is from the 10 May 10:30 RNS:

'the Declaration of Conformity for CE mark of its AffiDX® SARS-CoV-2 antigen rapid test for professional use has been submitted to the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency ("MHRA") through the Group's partner Mologic Limited.'

So when did Mologic make the submission...Let's assume it was immediately before this RNS on 10 May and not The preceeding Friday...that's 15 working days ago.
I'm pretty confident we will get MHRA news this coming week..probably Thursday or Friday.

Why are they not selling into Europe..because all their production will either be for UK Govt contracts or as said in their RNS ..the GAD production could well be destined for lower income countries like Senegal...
