Haha...there has been so much rubbish spouted on here I thought I'd mix it uo a bit. Anyone fact checking my post will have noted it was all rubbish too.
There is some great research done by some on here but it constantly gets drowned out. One thing is for sure we will get an RNS at some point in time...

Timster...Bronte increased their short around 40 to 80 mark. They only have 0.30% to clear and suspect that's what they've been doing and could be reason for news delay.

Assume this is from the in vitro trials and isn't from current human trial.

NR11...yes you are right they said in the RNS that this Science Day is for analysts and fund managers. On the Avacta website they also say @The Company also holds science days, where investors and significant private shareholders are provided with an update on the Group’s scientific activities by members of the Board and Senior Management Team.' Take your pick but I would say they are somewhat the same thing...

If there was a T/O in the pipeline..no Science Day would have been arranged.
However, if Avacta was looking at a merger or reverse T/O to get immediate access/presence in the US then a Science Day for investors/significant shareholders makes more sense.
You don't need to list yourself on a US exchange you just reverse into an existing company or shell.

What if Al is off sick? Surely he will want to be fully functionable on a day that could rock the World...so many caught debilitating bugs over Christmas and New Year...welcome to the real World...

Suspect real World issues have caused delays...
If they sre waiting for a deal etc the could still release an RNS to say data still being compiled or something like that.

Personally I think we are simply in the hands of otgers and strikes, sickness etc could well be leading to issues with getting the data formatted. I for one have personally experienced delays/slowdowns recently.

Early Jan was vague enoigh ti give time for one or more II shorters to get their act tigether. How much input does our broker have in RNS wording...please don't tell me it doesn't happen...it does.

RAH...as we all now believe AVA6000 is working and if it is seen to reduce tumor size with no side effects in this first in human trial...which is not a closed trial...are Avacta under an obligation to pass on that information to sharholders as it would be significant to the companies bottom line going forward. If it was a closed trial then that would be different.
I know this part of the trial isn't looking for efficacy but the patients should still be receiving scans/blood tests and surely a simple ACE test would be a huge indicator if it drops significantly.

Now here's an observation for you...in the Avacta Presentation you put up online they clearly state that in vitro the cancer was reduced. Now with such high doses of dox hitting the cancer cells this must be knocking them off like ten pins and they must be seeing this.
So what info are we going to get...if they just say we've found a safe dose then I don't think we will see much SP growth. However, if they say we have a safe dose and have confirmed this dose is having a significant effect on the cancer cells then we should see a good lift but if they go on to say leading to extended life or even no more cancer cells then boy are we in for a ride. Geat to see they have the confidence to go ahead and make the updates they are making.

I hope not...we need to see more value in the SP first otherwise any T/O will be low balled...

Wearegroot...if AVA6000 is doing what it says on the tin and that is confirmed this week...could the Presentation be about another M&A or some kind of expansion as the pipeline is opened up. We purchased Launch Diagnostics...are there any players on the launch side we might wish to try and bring in house which would benefit our Therapeutics side. What is it the Diagnostics side of the business will need going forward to help them move to the next levels or is this just a reassurance get together. Remember it's being taped and put on the Avacta website so they won't be divulging anything we won't have been told by then. It could just be a 'stick with us guys...still a ways to go...but we have a plan which we have laid out already and this is how the data fits into that plan' . Remember these are Investors/significant shareholders and they will be looking for scientific reassurance...

The last three big rises were as follows:

April 20 Low 18.99 to May 20 High 215.18 = + 1033%
Jan 21 Low 112.97 to Mar 21 High 291.70 = + 158%
Mar 22 Low 37.99 to Apr 22 High 144.15 = + 279.5%

Based on the drivers for the above increases, what is your best guess for the affect of good news from AVA6000?

Just taking say 250/300% that would push us up from 126.50 (where we are right now) to 442.75/506. So a £5 SP is easily doable with the right headwinds/buyers...and the MM's on our side...

I suspect early January wasn't being considered as overly specific...just meaning anytime before the mid point.
Any slippage ie after say 15th of the month will have it's reasons.

Sorry but they are not presenting to key opinion leaders in the field oncology...they are part of the Presentation team.
As tge Presentation is being recorded and will be put on Avactas website they will not be given any more info than that already in the public domain by then just a tad more explanation.

One subject not touched on here is how much have real World circumstances affected the Trial and the ability to correlate the data such as:
Nursing strikes, absenteeism due to Winter bugs and rail strikes in the hospitals and Avacta. I can't believe there hasn't been some impact.

And the new acquisition has not been factored in yet and that's tge first of more to come and it gives Avacta direct access to many new Principles who in turn could at some point become Avacta product customers.
As I've said before we are still at the very beginning of our product development and sales journey. Our LFT isn't dead yet and even if we don't progress Covid detection there are many other diseases which can be targetted with our tech. The Covid R&D would have been a huge learning phase.
Roll on next week and the next 6 or so as I still think more RNSs will come out before the Science Day...
