j-t...if you are in discussions with potential licencees or partners (existing or new) for the likes of TMAC or AVA6000 or other pipeline products or acquisition or etc etc you would need to be very careful about what was said/discussed...best to stay clear.. keep it very limited. The data they gave was early doors data and seemed to correspond nicely with in mouse trials...so, as an interested party would you be asking for first pick/exclusivity should the next phase be it 1a DE's or 1b outcomes follow similar pattern.
Avacta are in a difficult position because they need to keep investors/shareholders happy but also they must not jump ahead of themselves either. Fine lines...and rules...

As I read it, Avacta have been doing the development of the different Affimers in their lab as the quantities for trials have been relatively small. However, should there be a much greater demand from new customers and as demand grows then perhaps they would be looking to acquire a fully licenced/acredited 'production unit' which comes with other nice bolt on/drop in profitable products. They might not be ready for large scale Affimer production yet but there's no reason why the acquisition couldn't go ahead in preparation and to perhaps support the Launch side of the business too.

I know I've mentioned this before but does Avacta's definition of 'fully integrated' include manufacturing since they do say affimers are easy to make...and who makes AVA6000 for the trial...affimer incorporation will be the next stage for Avacta in Therapeutics and to be fully integrated you need to establish an end to end value chain which should include manufacturing to give full end to end value control of own product.

With the Launch acquisition we have a Distributorship and Avacta could be set to establish a Licencing side too for Launch accounts for the likes of Affimers.
Partnerships = Joint Investment
Licencing = Income In for use of IP.
Distributorship = Income In from Sales of Product Out.
As you say..small changes but how significant and what do they tell us sbout what might be happening behind closed doors!!

Yorkshirepragma...many people with heart problems can't have chemo and have to go down the radiotherapy route only. Chemo is bad enough but the burns from radio are wicked. This is one aspect which has not been discussed/mentioned on here and for me why the heart protection element of AVA6000 is mega. It will allow those with heart conditions to have chemo and not only chemo, chemo without the aweful side effects...more people treated and potentially cured.
Yes, trials are a long drawn out process but surely worth the wait in this case.

As Hurst10 says...the buys against this sell would have gone through during the day in much smaller chuncks to avoid tripping the computer algorithms. I know some say it's shorts wrapping up for the day but they tend to be after close whereas this looks far more like a worked through order.

Any early stage investment is high risk...BUT...there are early stage and early stage companies...and it all depends at what stage you invest....early or very early.
Knowing what we know now, Avacta IMO is no longer an expremely high risk company, in fact they are rapidly nearing the low risk especially with their recent purchase. Avacta has income...many companies at trial stage don't have income.

Perhaps they have decided to increase the dose at each of the next cohort stages to find MTD and they are obtaining patient consent. Those patidnts who do not wish an increase in dose cojld remain on the same stage increase as they have done for 1 thru 4. This might give them some more data and comparisons. These patifnts are very ill and I'm sure everyone will be looking to find the MTD as quickly as possible.

Are DX and TX going to remain two separate sides of the company or are they going to be linked to own Affimer manufacturing unit and own Distribution company.

It's just a thought and with the first acquisition (Launch Diagnostics) we could be seeing the start of vertical integration...which even MM mentions in his note: (see Pages 5, 6 and 7)
