RE: AffyXell’s cutting-edge technology.3 May 2023 09:02
'In May 2015, Daewoong Pharmaceutical acquired HanAll Biopharma for W104.6bn (30.2% stake) for the development of new biologics. iN Therapeutics, which was spun off from the company (58% stake), is studying iN1011-N17 as a treatment for osteoarthritis. AffyXell Therapeutics is a joint venture in which the company owns a 64% stake, and its lead candidates include AFX-001 and AFX-002 (cell therapies). '
AffyXell is now being developed within their newly acquired company HanAll Biopharma by the looks of it.
'Hear from PhD student Izzie Gibson about her research developing Affimer proteins – these can be made in the lab without animals and have the potential to replace animal-derived antibodies in clinical and research diagnostics.'
Affimers could replace any antibody no matter what the usage couldn't they?
'Overnight it will become Standard of Care for STS’
Says someone who knows a hell of a lot more about this stuff than anyone on this BB.... If he sees the potential then that's good enough for me... Ignore the noise...
Jive_T...in the RNS there is a comment about 1b early stage data being significant or something like that...Avacta have good 1a data showing Dox arriving in the tumor in therapeutic quantities and very little in the blood. Couple this with Dox seen to be strinking tumors early on in 1b still without the nasty after affects then this might be enough to get approval quickly...Dox doing what it says on the tin etc etc...
B-F....Projected income very much matters to IIs and the Markets because that's how they ulitimately make money by getting in early doors. Those who made their millions/billions on the back of Tesla did so by investing when shares were a mere Dollar a pop... There are also Losses and Losses..not all are the same...
RAH0084...'More fundraising will happen if they are to get 6000 to market. That’s a given.'....beg to differ...it's not a given. We don't know what milestone payments might be incoming or what deal might be struck for other pipepline candidates. AVA6000 is the key to unlocking the pipeline. AVA6000 1b data is very much key to that. Avacta will not take AVA6000 to market themselves, they will use a third party to do this which in itself is not that expensive. I postd details of such a company a few weeks back... I suspect Avacta would like to avoid further fundraising if at all possible and let the products do the work.
Launch contributed approx £4m to Revenue in just 4 to 6 weeks so this alone would add £32-£48m this year all things being equal. The dip this morning was either to get more shares or it proves the markets only look at the headline numbers and not the detail. EIther way Launch itself will self fund the Qrtly payments, a move into the German market and potentially the next M&A if it's in the low £ms. This leaves cash in bank for trials and let's not forget we are getting ever closer to oir partnerships generating more income and new upfront deals being signed with early 1b data...read the RNS again for the clues on this one.
'Revenues for the Diagnostics Division were £4.17 million (2021: £0.78 million), with the increase coming from the acquisition of Launch Diagnostics in October 2022, which contributed £3.97 million and the remainder from a smaller number of custom Affimer® reagent projects as resources were focused on the development of future diagnostic tests.' Growth targetting Germany the EUs biggest diagnostics market.
LLP...'to build its position in the immunodiagnostics and molecular diagnostics value chain by acquiring companies that are complementary to Avacta's core strengths in research and development.” Not the wording acquiring companies (plural)...Launch is only the first... Are any of the Launch principals a contender for M&A... Could Avacta benefit from aquiring a manufacturing business? Are Avacta planning to go vertical or lateral?
Hopefully tomorrow we might find out a little more...
LLP...'the first step in its drive towards building an integrated and differentiated IVD business with global reach'...now what do they mean by 'global reach'....here in lies the answer or potential answer if there is more going on behind the scenes than we know right now. They are referring to building an integrated and differentiated IVD ( in vitro diagnostic medical device) business....what do they mean by integrated and differentiated???
'His comments are that he can’t find anything published in any scientific journals so can’t follow up at this point in time.' Because regardless of what we all know and say AVA6000 has not been ptoven to work in the trial yet...that is exsctly what AS said...like it or not the trial has to run it's course/stages to satisfy the authorities and as with all scientific data it has to undergo peer scrutiny and only then will the markets wake up...however, the markets are not Pharma and they can take the plunge if they get to see the data and feel it's worth an early stage investment to beat the competition. The question is, at what point do the feel confident enough to take the plunge...
