Russia is doing a roaring trade with far eastern countries like China and India, more income than before the conflict.
They are already strengthening those ties, and China will be suppling Russia with everything it requires. So much so they have started to tighten the noose around countries like Germany by restricting the gas flow via nord stream pipeline, stating "operational issues".

Soon its not a case of "our sanctions not working", which is a clear fact, but reverse energy restrictions by Russia on western nations. This has already started to happen ..they don't need our euros..getting loads from China and far east.
Screw is now being turned the other way.....and this one will have much more effect on energy and food prices.

Also we have reports that some uk brokers will only sell poly stock not purchase.
As we all know always as with any stock going to see a small percentage of "forced sellers" . I believe this is creating a "false market for poly stock currently and very much responsible for the sloe drip downwards we have witnesses in recent weeks.
Certainly nothing to do with our company performance.
Also means the rebound may be vigorous when those restrictions lifted.

We live in a free society, nothing to stop any international investor opening a trading account here or in the USA or vice versa. I know of investors who have opened them "down under".

its not a kremlin change thats req, its the uk gov lifting restrictions that in the main is only hurting its own people while other countries like china and india profit. Thats what the block is, and only 20% of our holders bought on the Moscow exchange...so its not even, and many of those are international not russian.

I've had a few investors contacting me this morning asking "whats going on", ad quite frankly I do not know.
Just pulling one out of the air, was discussion about having an investors meeting more south for a change was talk of Portsmouth location. Would anyone here be interested in attending if it could be set up. I've a few peeps that have already indicated they would be interested in attending.

Just like to say I appreciate your imputs, Clio and Aquae, I havnt been that active over this stock for a good while. Guess I'm very suspicious having had some awful experiences in the past along with some stunning successes, which has instilled a hard earned sense that when everything goes quiet for so long its never good news.
Perhaps its "glass half empty", but I dont know of one stock that I've been closely following that suddenly pulled off a blinder, unless its been a buyout from another company.
I do feel lack of information is resulting in a decreasing share price, as I'm clearly a case in mention who does follow market sentiment about a stock, and did realise at the start of this year that things were not going to plan by a order of magnitude. However that was mainly by the order numbers which subsequently proved to be correct, and my private estimates to fellow investors were almost spot on I'm afraid to say . Then saw some other opportunities which I thought will give better yields in shorter timeframes. Not saying I wont take a larger position again, but do require more concrete evidence before committing. Another company meeting would be good.

Also after hearing from our board, we recommended this stock to a lot of our investing friends who also purchased. Not nice when you see them loosing money on your recommendation. Bet the same has happened to other holders of this stock as well.

ref the Croda deal, our own management team were very excited about the prospects going forward and believed our products outstripped matrixyl, sedermas flagship product.
The talk was this really was the "holy grail of skincream additives ", tightened up the skin junctions and in effect made skin more youthful.
Samples went out to all their major and top clients ages ago. Was even a discussion that there was a possibility that if its the next best thing they all might want it.
Then we had reported effects that our product was even more effective than we first acknowledged, and awaited possible test reports, with value upgrade.
No ones lying or bull****ting or even over egging...I was actually there talking to the board about it in Manchester nearly 2 years ago. Elrico is speaking 100% correct.
Was even discussion that SOH had turned down an offer from Croda for its holding....at a lot more than current price.
However then nothing at all...not a peep. So yes clearly something major has happened and I don't know what it is.
However time will most certainly tell, and yes I'm guilty of well egging this stock...but its due to what we heard by actually talking to our board...not making any stuff up, and why I at one time held north of 1M shares.

Although unpalatable, Zelenski will have to agree to a ceasefire and peace. 500-800 wounded per day is unsustainable, so we can say 50-80k wounded so far just on the Ukrainian side.
He will say its in order to prevent further loss of Ukrainian lives, and to the world that's reason enough.
Western opinion has changed fore ever over Russian tactics so even if sanctions are lifted things will take many years indeed before the west trusts them once more.
Points to Russia being whiter than white in the future with companies which have markets in Moscow and London like Poly, where they will really want to try and draw western companies and investors back in.
In a strange way could lead to a much smoother operation than previously, with no hurdles at all from the Russian side.

Also believe the likely significant effects if the grain export issue not resolved swiftly not fully appreciated.
Clearly factual reporting that Russia has already secured its grain requirements and also supplied its friends in the world with Ukrainian grain also by several shipments from Mariupol recently. So they are in no need of it now, and zero chance of it being returned from the far East/ Syria either. Expect its tied up in payment for services , one way or another.
However you cannot create food which is not there, and only swift action will prevent starvation in many countries on a scale not seen in our generation, and eye watering food prices for us in the west also.

Here its demonstrated that countries like India (who receive generous UK charity donations), have profiteered on Russian Crude, then doubled down on the profit by selling the refined products to USA and EU, disguising the origins.

I'm from a background in the oil industry, and what they do is make the crude part of a blend in the tank farm, so then it suddenly all becomes "sourced from the far East". Do know what I'm talking about here, as I've attended many crude slate planning meetings over the years, and how we tweak the units /sulphur load etc to maximise throughput.

I've already obtained my required holding in this stock, and I'm in for the long play.
I doubt those expecting to be able to "jump in quickly", when the talks and peace news breaks will be able to obtain any really decent amounts at anything like the current price.
May make a few pennies, but the real gains will be obtained by those taking positions in advance, and not giving in to temptation to offload.

Fully agree Fair Analyst, although it does leave a very nasty taste in the mouth the impartial viewpoint that a settlement now will be best for everyone.
One nagging concern I have is that the Ukrainians may believe that the weapons flow into their country from various countries is going to continue fore ever and a day and may give rise to a mistaken belief that they will not settle now and cede the captured land to Russia. Its not good, but actually the smartest thing to do.
We have to realistic in the fact that only 15% of the worlds population are actually supporting Ukraine, and indeed many clear signs that a very high percentage are profiteering at the expense of the western countries. also noticeable that they send no aid to Ukraine either.

We have seen some pretty dramatic reductions in Russian interest rates recetly, coupled with a high market gold price which should really help our company. Throw into the mix saving of the previous divi, and Poly should be doing extremely well.
