Topo - That was pasted from an email I received last week from “shareholder benefits” and I have always received those amounts when cruising with Cunard from Southampton. I have received the £ sterling figures as stated by bhants when sailing with P&O. I am sure you are right with respect to the non UK based brands.

This is reviewed at every AGM and you are currently unable to claim for any cruises beyond July as the benefit may change - although I have not known it change in recent years.

I usually say no upgrade but this one slipped through the net when we booked on board in October. We like a suite on the rear, either Q5 or Q6 grade, you get some great views from there. The “upgrade” was to a Q4 category which is midships - whilst some people may prefer this due to stability (as we were crossing the bay this could be a concern to many) we are prepared to “take the tablets” and enjoy the views.

We were given an upgrade on a Cunard cruise in December which we really didn’t want. Initially they said they would not reverse it but after constant pressure from me they agreed to move us back to our original choice - be careful what you wish for when it comes to upgrades.

I have found it very easy to email shareholderbenefits@carnivalukgroup.com With booking reference. Usually respond within a couple of hours.

The smallest CCL line you could consider is Seabourn. They are probably the most expensive and, as far as I know, do not sail from the uk.

We were on the previous QV cruise. They tried to fix the issue in Cadiz by sending divers down but they couldn’t remove the old one after two days of trying. It was great spending two days in Cadiz and didn’t cause us any issues other than we missed calling at Cartagena.
