100notout, 1.5 million shares bought back last year. As you say, 13.9m is substantially more. The only hiccup is that would use up all of the cash the company held at the last y/e but hopefully there have been a few sales in he last 6 months to swell the coffers.
Ken, sounds like we had similar experiences. Copenhagen was our last port (Tues of last week I think). Weather was great - took the hop on bus from the dock. Biggest problem is they don’t take you back to the boat. You have to get off at the little mermaid statue then queue for a shuttle with passengers from all other cruise ships it was chaos and almost doubled the time the journey took.
On QV also in Baltic last two weeks. Quite warm and sunny - particularly Helsinki where we were for two days. No talk about illness but was aware that there were a handful of passengers in isolation.
Currently on Queen Victoria 10th of 16 nights. Not aware of any outbreak on board although one cabin on our corridor has had a red card in its door handle for about 4 days - not sure of the significance but assume it’s some sort of health issue as empty food trays keep appearing outside.
I did - but it was still a disappointment. Still, just cruising out of Southampton and will be clear of uk waters in time for me to lose some money this evening.
Bhants, I was expecting my presence in Cunard casinos would help CCL sp. Unfortunately, got off the 5 day cruise to Liverpool on Sunday and the casino was not open for the entire journey. Anyway, off on QV today for 16 nights so anticipate swelling the coffers from tonight!!
Following the issues reported last weekend Cunard released a new 5 night cruise at 1:00 pm yesterday. My agent managed to secure a Queens Grill suite for me but said all Grills Suites were sold out within 6 minutes and the ship fully sold out a few minutes later. Clearly there is a pent up demand for cruising which is positive news for the SP.
Plus a 112 carat white diamond sale held over to current quarter.
Looks quite positive, just a very slight reduction in $ received per carat but overall a good update
Should see a positive share price movement today.

Ken, looks we will be following each other around the Baltics next month - I’m there on QV 9th - 25th. Looking at the itineraries I don’t think we will be in the same port any day. Enjoy.

Spot on Bhants - one consolation we were only there for half a day.
You enjoy your trips also. We did Tromso on Ventura summer 2019 excellent scenery. Thinking about Queen Anne but already have two P&O cruises booked next year - across the Atlantic to New Orleans and back (5 weeks) Feb then Arcadia Canaries December. We are also in the Med this September on QV again. - you never know we may be in the same port one day.
You can see why we all struggle understanding the low share price with so many people making so many bookings!
Topo, which Cunard are you on in May? We are on QV 9th May.
Bhants, we were on QV in December. On that cruise they did the opposite to what is happening with you on Arcadia - missed out Malaga went to Gib on a Sunday instead - not very clever as most things were closed!
15:00 uk time.
Sorry, should have read Upcoming Events

That would be over 10% in a day - a bit too optimistic I think!
Maybe tomorrow - but there again we all know what happens with CCL
Interesting take-aways from Q&A session.
Acknowledgement that GEMD could be a M&A target at current low share price.
Commitment to recommencing dividend when circumstances allow.
Still negotiating sale of Ghaghoo and expect costs to be reduced or eliminated this year.
Looking at other opportunities outside of current operating area.
