I think you speak for most normal folk there Kev and as I said a few months back I expect booster uptake to be low.

I mean talk about using a sledgehammer to crack a nut the situation has really got quite ridiculous. They’re simply doubling down on vaccines for lack of an alternative and since day 1 of Omicron, the vaccine mantra was being barked loudly through all media outlets. The whole thing very much plays into he anti vax agenda because how can anyone at this stage know how effective a booster is at defending against the new variant? How is any of this being led by the data and the science? We are explicitly told the level of mutation renders vaccines less effective, yet to defend ourselves we must have more of this apparently ineffective vaccine? Orwell would be turning in his grave.

A good therapeutic would usher in a change in strategy I feel because it’s abundantly clear that the limitations of vaccines are being exposed, and so are tje clueless governments that keep foisting them on us. I’m no anti vaxxer, I’m double jabbed, but this latest move is governed by blind faith…a slippery slope indeed.

One thing is clear today was great news. As far as contracts do, CF can’t do much more. Things are looking very rosy and today’s news signals two bulls for me:
1. Higher asking price on challenge studies = higher profitability
2. Potential trend in terms of US clients turning to OO in a flight from the challenge study hostile US.
Looking at it through a long lens, the new variant will surely focus minds on variant modelling ans testing too.
I can hand on heart say the SP today doesn’t bother me. The market is clearly not a rational instrument but it’ll catch up in time. What bothers me is the direction of travel and the newsflow. On the latter we are clearly in a great place. On the former I am sure there are irons in the fire.

Have a great weekend all and please, exercise the filter button. No good can come from listening to people who obsess over every minute share price action looking to sow seeds of negativity. Stick to the facts which, here, are looking better all the time.

It isn’t just open season in pharma. It’s fiercely competitive with big pharma holding real prestige vs riskier juniors such as ours - going to the likes of SNG ‘at the 11th hour’ as you say, then crawling back 6 months later with your tail between you legs would not look good, whichever way you cut it.

Anyone joining the SNG team coming from big established pharmas took a huge leap of faith in doing so.

Trek your strategy relies on timely results. To paint a contrarian picture, any ‘delay’ (whatever that means) would have quite the opposite impact on the SP.

I think your strategy makes good sense as far as de risking goes, although it could be wishful thinking.

Who dares wins sometimes Doc. Those who made their fortunes with the likes of apple were investing, at the time, in a cooky little developer in a world dominated by the likes of Microsoft, Nokia, IBM. It was very much the same David vs Goliath setup we see at work here with SNG in a world dominated by the pharma colossuses of Merck, Pfizer et al. I totally agree there is absolutely risk here, nothing is ever certain until it’s certain in this sector, and you can never rule something coming out of left field to ruin the show. But fortunes aren’t made with a beautifully diversified portfolio. Sometimes, to make life changing money, you have to pin your colours to the mast. Some find it exciting, others find it hard to live with. Pays your money you takes your choice.

All the omens are good at the minute. We passed Activ, which had a high bar and over which we had no control. It would really take something unexpected for P3 to be anything other than a major major breakthrough in the world’s ability to administer effective therapy for this virus IMO.

I agree with what others have said, this company has really hooked me in and I am a little emotionally attached to this company. Not to the point I wouldn’t sell, but I do desperately wish for it to succeed for so many reasons other than simply making a packet.

I think it’s fair to say my point still stands in that not much patience is needed here. It’s taken nearly 2 years and now we stand on the precipice, pending good results, of commercialisation.

Any of the naive noggins who come on here to call manipulation ‘nonsense’ need to make a good mental note of what’s taken place over the last few days.

Today the price was walked down 4%. You couldn’t buy a bean in the last 30 minutes. Simply could not. That to me stinks to high heaven. A falling SP must naturally create liquidity but it didn’t. Hmmmm.

I totally get that calling a price action ‘manipulation’ is sort of like the boy that cried wolf, but it really doesn’t take a genius to figure out what’s gone on here. Today was manipulation, much as the likes of freethecaterham would hate to admit it…

GMAN raises a valid point to be fair. The initial timeline circa 6 months ago was 12-18 months and realistically, it’s looking at least that again from here. There are more lucrative opportunities out there, that could offer higher gains in the short term, but risk vs share price here makes this an absolute no brainer IMO, with very little out there that beats it.

It’s a great entry point for anyone now, and I think that’ll be the secret to its resurgence. But the ‘critical mass’ of patient PIs need some reassurance about the direction of travel on both the contract wins and the spin outs to avoid any lift being thwarted by selling.

I do believe in CF and feel this is a ‘pregnant’ rather than a ‘barren’ silence right now. Just got to hold tight and wait for the constant tide of selling to finally exhaust itself.

Fair enough if you are capable of putting a negative spin on that RNS. It really is par for the course that anything other than absolute blockbuster news is sold into on AIM. Synairgen are many things but desperate is certainly not one of them. If anything, it’s their complete lack of urgency/desperation which has led to the SP being walked down in the past. What a completely ludicrous claim.

Re read the RNS and digest the facts. It’s abundantly clear that something will be discussed at tonight’s meeting that is deemed market sensitive. It would not be RNSd otherwise. What that is who knows, but I can’t really see a negative spin on it to be honest.
