Agree with that NDN. Context will dictate the size of the ‘spike’ on readout. Orders will be the true catalyst for shareholder value.

I think you’ve posted a lot of really good stuff recently, but your latest posts are coming off panicked and confrontational.

People who simply follow ‘the markets’ are sheep and generally come away with measly profits now and again but are generally the ones who get their pants pulled down hopping onto the latest trend more often than not.

We on here should know better than to follow the media line that Omicron is some benevolent virus ushered in to help comfort us to a nice smooth ending to this pandemic. Hospitals are at breaking point here in the UK…I can only imagine the damage being done elsewhere.

We all want results quickly but come on, people have been claiming that the window of opportunity has been closing for over a year now. It’s not!

If memory serves, auction off the back of P2 saw it sail from 30p to 250? So you have an instant 7 bagger with no opportunities in between. We are talking instant gains and by the time the average PI wants in you’re already paying top dollar.

£3 on a good readout is fantasy land.

If you think that £3 is going to be your buy back level on a good read out all I can say is good luck to you!!

NDN, you’ve got your blinkers on again. This isn’t the happy clappy ramp brigade, and the conversations have been what might happen on a good readout. The risk is self evident and has been discussed to death. Even so, everyone on this board recently has used the caveat ‘if results are good…’ and words to that effect so it’s not exactly true to say it’s been a one eyed discussion.

Doc is right we are all feeling that mixture of nerves and excitement, and you’re right it will be simple in retrospect, but your nerves are not a reason to paint a false picture of the discussions taking place here.

The best yardstick for when to sell is to look at how market capitalisations have increased for major pharmas announcing news (not orders) of new Covid therapeutics.

Multiple billions.

Only very jittery hands will be selling in the £5-£10 range IMO. If results are good, we have a seat at a massive, multi multi billion market filled with governments desperate for effective therapeutics.

UK investors are generally pretty bad at running profits, but it’s important to put good results into perspective, and to see that if Pfizer can move their value 20+ billion on news of their pill, then we should be holding out for far more than £5-10.

All IMO of course, and holding on to a multi bagger takes balls. But patience will be rewarded quite quickly if all is well results wise.

SNG has been swimming round in my brain these last few days. New Years naturally puts me in a reflective mood and as I look ahead to 2022 all the permutations play through my mind.

It’s sobering to think that this time next year, not only will SNG be in a totally different place (for better or worse) but so will many of us be different people. This investment will potentially change the financial lives of many on here (myself included) and what seems a dream could be a reality.

2022 is a defining year not just for this wonderful company, but for the brave band who have backed them too. I am really hoping, for our sake and for the world, that our results are stonking.

Guys, big dataset doesn’t automatically mean longer. The parameters for analysis will be clearly set and in a way, will be even clearer than P2, as they will have used P2 to really figure out what they want the data to drive at. The only hold up will be if there are lots of anomalies that need to be worked through - not beyond the pail but not likely either.

I’m sure they will want the data to be bulletproof, and if it takes a little longer to do that, so be it. But I’d wager these guys are working round the clock to get this done; and more data does not necessarily mean longer. These guys will have known how to process the data, and the parameters they wished to use, from day 1.

Merry Christmas to all long term holders. Next year will be our year I’m sure.

Merry Christmas to all. It’s been quite a year. I’d like to thank everyone for their contributions and insights. 2021 has been a strong year for us, Activ progression, polygon loading up, massive evidence mounting about interferons, the knighting of our very own Prof Holgate, wider context supporting our cause, rivals falling away and of course, the big one, the conclusion of our phase 3 trial.

I can’t tell you how excited I am for next year. Both me and my dad are invested here and I’m sure there will be knowing smiles at the Christmas dinner table between us about this little gem we’ve both unearthed. Of course anything could happen but this little Southampton outfit could be the envy of the titans of pharma within a month or two. I wouldn’t miss it for the world. All the best everyone and I’ll catch up with you in Jan.

The beauty and craziness of the market in a nutshell really!

As much as I believe in this share, being able to sleep at night, having enough cash in the bank to be able to say ‘it’s not wiped me out’ if it all goes wrong, and feeling like I haven’t lost control is a much higher ROI than any share can any offer. Not having too much skin in the game also helps you make more reasonable decisions about your money. If you are overstretched here you may end up selling as soon as good news hits, when in fact it’s just getting going. I don’t blame anybody for selling to get back some control.

I am currently reading an outstanding book, ‘The Psychology of Money’ by Morgan Housel. Absolutely essential reading for any PI I might add. I read a line last night and it really stood out to me in the context of OO:

‘We call everyone investing money “investors” like they’re basketball players, all playing the same game with the same rules. When you realize how wrong that notion is you see how vital it is to simply identify what game you’re playing’

How true is that? At the moment we have hyenas, wolves and vultures churning the stock and painting a false picture. But we aren’t playing their game. We are here for the long haul. And once Cathal’s vision is bright to true fruition, we will realise we were playing the right game all along. The reason why the market doesn't Get OO’s true game plan is because it’s not really relevant to the game plan of the traders who right now are getting what they need out of the current trading range. Their game is not out game.

There’s also a brilliant chapter on pessimism and now intellectually alluring it is, again it reminded me of OO.

Capo, the concept of ‘balance’ has been very difficult for folks on these BBs to agree on. Personally I find the posters that are being alluded to are disruptive in the sense they apparently own stock here but see very little reason to have any sort of optimism about the company they have apparently ploughed their hard earned into. To me, if I felt the way that those negative Nancy’s apparently feel about it, I’d have sold up and moved on a long time ago. But they stick around, and continue to trot out the same points over and over. Now that’s either plain stupid as an investment strategy or disingenuous. You choose which.

I personally don’t see too many cheerleaders on here to be honest. You don’t get those plonkers coming on saying ‘big news coming’ ‘40p within a month’ etc. as you do on other BBs, or as we used to get in the run up to our ATH. There’s markedly less hype here than there was 12 months ago.

There are a band of committed LTH’s who seek to defend OO from criticism when it’s unfair or simply repeated for the millionth time, myself among them. That doesn’t mean to say the company is beyond reproach. Look through my posting history and you’ll see on more than one occasion I’ve expressed frustration at the spin out delays. I’m not particularly happy about the DIM delay but for me that’s more than offset by the contract wins showing the focus has quite rightly remained with core Orph) and the reason offered. To me, that’s a more balanced view than just slating the delay out of context.

Just my opinion.

If only there were some sort of drug, fully trialled and primed for commercial greatness, that could replicate that innate response…
