Patent talk in our field is highly technical and not easily understood by the layman. It is best dealt with by the experts of the PTAB.
Now, IF our patents are upheld the trial becomes very straightforward. And even the simplest of minds will be able to see that wilful infringement took place by just looking at the timelines of Nano and Samsung’s involvement with one another…and the game changing technology that miraculously appeared from the Samsung RandD arm shortly after ties were severed…

FD I would argue that until something is proved in a court of law, it isn’t really news.

Lawsuits and patent disputes are relatively common occurrences and being accused of IP theft isn’t in itself something that would garner a great deal of interest IMO. Until proven in a court of law, it’s basically ‘he said, she said’.

Once we have a verdict then the landscape shifts considerably and I would expect plenty of coverage.

Interesting moment coming up with the SP. The 20p resistance line could be broken over the coming days. If so, next stop will be 25p. Not really of interest to LTHs but would be nice to see things ticking up.

A buyout seems highly highly unlikely. Even if Nano could be convinced (which I don’t think they could) then do Samsung really want to own Nano and it’s other IP? I doubt it.

A licensing deal seems the most obvious way forward to me. If that deal is settled out of court it would be more favourable to Samsung. I don’t really care either way it still offers significant upside regardless. We must remember Nano isn’t just some patent troll, they are a going (and growing) concern and will not entertain being bought out by the company that nearly annihilated them, inmy opinion.

You’re right Amerloque. And if this goes to trial off the back of a PTAB ruling in our favour, all these details will come out in court. It’ll be an absolute slaughtering of Samsung.
This is why I’ve long held the view a pre trial settlement is the likeliest outcome. That’s why so much hinges on the PTAB.

I’m surprised we didn’t get a pretty major bounce on Friday.I’m viewing it as an opportunity. We clearly are very obscure in the wider investment landscape it would appear, with very few eyes on us. I said in a previous post that once transcripts were published those on the inner circle would have a window of opportunity, I didn’t think that window would allow me to add so cheap! I will load as best as I can if we stay in the 20p range. Risk reward very good at those levels. Important to also keep feet on the ground though, it’s not a done deal yet and plenty could go wrong. I loaded up on SNG pre results amd look what happened there. Nonetheless I have a good feeling about our chances.

I think our chances, overall, are good. And I also think a decision won’t take long based on the fact that the decision will be based on whether they buy the Samsung or Nano definitions of Emulsions and Clusters respectively.

On the first count im not so sure. I don’t understand the science well enough to pass comment. Marici seemed very certain that Samsung’s construction fails on multiple points and this wasn’t really challenged by the judges.

Newman’s arguments I felt were very clear. And this decision will boil down to whether they buy Samsung’s narrative that if idea X is combined with idea Y and Z then you get a stable uniform cluster. Or, whether they just nicked our method. To me the logical leaps required to buy Samsung’s version seem absurd. Especially when you think of the science involved; this isn’t a barkeeper mixing ****tails FFS. Obermann suggested as much. The fact that they tried to enter new evidence to make the narrative better fit is an added sign of weakness, and did not go down well with the judges. On this count I feel it’s a slam dunk.

However, when Newman steps up he wipes the floor with Samsung. His arguments against the obviousness grounds are surely beyond refute. ‘They mix and match (the methods and reagents) like they’re legos’. You could tell Obermann was of a similar mind in his cross examination of Mizzo and how he conveniently segwayed from Banin to Herron.

Surely no one is buying Samsung’s retrospective trawl of the literature as basis for their defence.

What do you search for on the website to find it?

Yeah I don’t think they are hoping to shave past the guidance on a couple of grand but let’s wait and see. To my mind the move to Runcorn is a very significant ‘soft signal’ and proves we have viability regardless of the litigation. Remember we were nudging 30p when the prevailing narrative was Nano’s future hingeing on the outcome of the case. There’s real value here at these prices and the RNS is Hugely positive.

You must surely realise they won’t be hanging around that long for a return. They will be forcing the issue whether that be through EUA platform trials etc.

The move to Runcorn will be music to the ears of LTHs. Those that have been here a few years, that place will have symbolic significance, and not necessarily positive either. During the dark days, Runcorn became a bit of a white elephant.

I’m so glad to hear that the wheels of production will be fired up and that finally, our facility will be put to good use. It really is a pretty huge signal to us LTHs.

Exactly Hawi. I find it very reassuring that the legal proceedings will hopefully be a massive bonus on top of what appears to be a strong move towards commercialisation. And finally realising it’s potential this could be a huge year.

BTB fair enough, at least you’ve been honest. You overexposed yourself on what you felt like a dead cert, and it let you down. I’ve been there myself mate. Only the other week SNG let me down big time. Never again will I put myself in that position.If we learn from it, as in some ways you seem to have done, it’s ultimately better for our financial futures.

I think what’s clearly apparent in your posts is that you blame Nano for that wounding experience when in truth, this company has been deeply unlucky. One must never forget the importance of luck (and its opposite) when investing. Anyone who says luck is not involved in investing is setting themselves up for a huge fall at some point. Nano has been the victim of lots of bad luck, and so to you Nano seems a poisoned chalice. I get that. ‘Once bitten twice shy’…

But a couple of weeks ago you chose to add. So you must have some confidence in this company’s prospects, unless you’ve simply gambled (again) hoping for a bounce. I don’t think it’s a good place to be when you’re investing money in a company you think is in dire straits, which is the picture you paint. It sounds to me you haven’t quite exorcised the demons that got you in a pickle at 6p…

Valuable soft signals to interested parties will arrive within the coming days.

If what we see is good, this good be a valuable window of opportunity to add prior to any PTAB judgement which will shift the needle materially in terms of SP.

Whilst transcripts are just transcripts, they could provide a really good insight as to our chances. I hope lobo will be back to help us decipher some of the legalese. We want you back lobo!

The lift today coincides with more widely reported news of resurgent cases, especially in terms of hospitalisations.
With Ukraine and ‘Covid over’ it’s not something being shouted from the rooftops but it is being reported in some quarters.
The market is still very much there for SNG if something can be salvaged from the wreckage of sprinter and/or EUA.

Yet again my buy is showing as a sell.

Things will get interesting here soon. The transcripts are going to give us a great insight into how things are going. We are flying so far under the radar at the moment. Such a good price being relatively speaking very close to news.

Even a modest settlement amount puts us at many multiples of here. Exciting times.
