Agreed very positive. It’s typical Nano luck that these developments happen as tanks roll into Ukraine, it may be a bumpy ride here for a few days, but overall we will surely be onto a winner in the long run.

Well said Axe. Worst day on the markets I’ve ever had and likely ever will have.

Nonetheless, I have my health, my family, and will live to fight another day. I’ve also learned a lot of really tough lessons that will hopefully better help me generate wealth in the future.

I’ve kept my money in because I think there’s still something here. It won’t be the dizzy heights we had all hoped for, but equally I think the results aren’t yet fully understood. It’ll certainly be some way north of here though, I feel.

Thank you to all the wonderful posters on here for their insights. We really thought we were onto a winner that would make a real difference to the world. For me, that’s the saddest part about the whole thing.

I think for my own part it’s a lengthy stay away from stock picking. People nursing huge losses here should be wary of chasing rainbows in order to recoup losses. I think with external factors as they are with Russia etc, staying away and building a cash position isn’t the worst strategy.

I really am gutted and left scratching my head as to how it all went so wrong. I haven’t yet sold, as days like this are not good days to sell as it’s an emotional play. There will be volatility here for some time. I’m really hoping RM fronts this out and updates the market. I do believe RM and his team are good people, and this has caught them out, but still RM is paid the big bucks to face the music here.

Upon re reading, I’m amazed the RNS was so downbeat, a bit more focus on reduction in death rate would’ve softened the blow somewhat. Still, a bludgeoning and educational encounter.

It’s a long long road back from here, but there is still a road at least. Activ could be the reason for the bullish moves in the US, who knows. It’s hard to see the wood for the trees at the moment.

Timing was the undoing of us I think. The ‘placebo’ group already receiving a ****tail of treatments was always going to give us an uphill battle. I do think that the reduction in deaths might prove a carrot for a takeover offer. I reckon a big pharma could be tempted to take this forward.

Im fishing for the positives in what is a really rough day. Focus on the positives today folks.

I understand how you feel NDN. No matter how confident we are in our investment, and I am very confident here, and have continued to add, that doesn’t mean to say the wait isn’t stressful. That doesn’t mean to say the fear of a black swan event that could spoil the show isn’t real. That doesn’t mean to say that we aren’t wondering what our investment could have bought if this all went up in smoke. These are natural human emotions. We understand when we invest what we let ourselves into, but if we are being honest with ourselves, they are surely emotions most PIs feel when they take a big position with a stock they truly believe in.

I do honestly feel that we will get news very soon and the ‘what if’ won’t be weighing heavily for too much longer. For me, I’m working on the assumption the data is unblinded and SNG know at least something. If they don’t, the moves made by the company appear reckless. Even if it’s just a convo with RM on the phone with parexel:
RM ‘when is the data likely to be ready?’
P ‘early 2022’
RM ‘how’s it looking?’
P ‘good, really good’

I just don’t see a scenario in which SNG is totally clueless as to the results. The argument that the integrity of the trial is somehow affected seems nonsense to me. The endpoints and the parameters around which Parexel analyse the data is surely fixed. To suggest otherwise would imply that figures are being fudged, which peer review would surely expose. Is it not simply the case that SNG know top line but until the data is fully cleansed it is not suitable to be RNSd?

A layman (such as I am) can evidently see that RNSing trial data allows for shades of grey in terms of determining at precisely what point the dataset is deemed ready for market.

My own thinking on this runs something along these lines. Please bear with me if there are some misconceptions in relation to how a trial is operated, this is simply my opinion.
* I think that if the trial had failed on either of the primary endpoints, we would have known by now. Let’s say that Synairgen don’t know the data (I personally don’t see that myself- more on that later) then they may well be working on this assumption and making moves accordingly.
* from the Sprinter completion RNS ‘Synairgen will continue to work on the SPRINTER study with Parexel Biotech’ - this is ambiguous. It could mean that it will be simply working with Parexel in the sense of them being their selected number crunchers, or working alongside them.
* this then raises the question of RNSing data. People seem to paint this black and white scenario of if a company knows the data it simply must publish it as its market sensitive. If that were the case then we would have had news within days of data unblinding and raw figures would've been published. Surely data doesn’t become market sensitive until it has been properly processed and cleaned? I personally see a scenario in which the company knows top line data but does not RNS until full analysis is complete. As this is all behind closed doors I guess it’s something we will never know.
* finally, and this is where I think there is the most conjecture, is the question of why this is taking so long, especially if 35 day top line is all we are waiting for. The 90 day long Covid aspect must surely be part of the thinking now? Now here is where I start to join some dots in terms of the bullish moves in terms of SNg gearing up to access the US market. Might SNG be getting some additional support in terms of read across from the Activ study? Might something be going on with the FDA?

This is the best sense I can make of what is a complex situation. If the original top line is what we are still waiting for, I find it odd we haven’t had it yet. But the company’s moves seem at odds with either not knowing the data or the data being marginal. To me the more likely scenario is results are being worked on in conjunction with something else. Any additional thoughts on this welcome.

Andy, your cheery outward tone belies some pretty bare faced deramping. This won’t decline ad infinitum and as you know, this decline is set against a pretty clear and well trodden narrative of Polygon continuing with an aggressive programme of share acquisition, and as soon as it’s RNSd we go back up again.
Your postings also conveniently ignores the fact that news could drop at any given day. In your posts you keep trying to push that boat out to March and even April, god knows why, but we know that news is surely imminent. If we enter March with no update I could see your point, but you’re trying to pretend that’s already baked in. It’s not.
I have no wish to get involved in a personal spat but you are posting in bad faith and today, worked overtime to push this negative agenda, I suggest you give the posting a rest a bit now.

The drop is an irrelevance to LTHs. Whether you were in at 90p or 211p we are all in the same boat if results is the end game.

It’ll either make us rich or virtually wipe out our investment. Sitting on paper profit should come as no comfort, and sitting on a paper loss should come as no mental hardship. The results will come out and our SP will either head to the stratosphere or fall back to 20-50 pence. I don’t see a middle ground in which there are modest gains or modest losses for most on here. The point I’m trying to make is that those trying to whip up a bit of panic because of the retrace, these people are clearly not playing the same game as long term holders!

So just a case of hunkering down and waiting. Incredible value at these prices.

If they’re loading again it’ll be RNSd after hours as it was a couple of Fridays back. Being allowed to accumulate at theee prices so close to news. The market is utterly bonkers.
