1. UK PIs, generally, don’t like risk. I’ve talked before about how Nano appears a ‘basket case’ at cursory glance (closer inspection shows this couldn’t be further from the truth).
2. Because when Nanoco initially pursued legal redress, Samsung probably thought that they could grind Nano into the dust legally, or could drag things out so long that Nano would cease to exist. Either way, Samsung clearly see exhausting all avenues on the legal route as preferable to any buyout or agreement. Their hand will need to be forced first.

If we were into March I would say that was slow by pretty much any yardstick you care to mention, and would hope for an update.

Don’t get me wrong, in the words of Belfort in Wolf of Wall Street ‘I’m not f***n leavin’ until results are out but some holders will undoubtedly lose faith if a silent delay is allowed to materialise.

Fair assessment NDN. A fellow poster contacted customer relations and in the response they reiterated ‘early 2022’ so to my mind February is looking odds on.

Yeah the price action is intriguing Wadagora. You do have a bit of an impasse here in theory. I can’t see an II making a serious move now before results. Poly and Polar are cancelling each other out, and PIs that want in are already loaded up by this point so I guess that explains the flat trading. There’s a lot of heavy losses out there today so I’m chalking today’s action as a blue day relatively speaking.

Let’s hope next week is the week. RM and his team have got all the pews out in Vatican square, we just need to see the white smoke rise from the Sistine chapel!

I think anyone arriving at a sell price needs to accept that it is the arbitrary sell price they have identified rather than it in any way reflecting the true value of the company.
If P3 results are good, attaching any sort of meaningful value will be nigh on impossible. Global market, little competition, lots of appetite. How on earth does one go about discovering price with so many variables in play? This is why I find all this talk of ‘£5/10/15 a share’ as a reflection of true value a bit ludicrous. If and hopefully when SNG blows there’s going to be lots happening very quickly. Be guided by the narrative, not the price.
I’ve said before I don’t blame anyone for taking profit, everyone will have different ambitions ans horizons, I’ve identified that price myself and skim a little. However, wait and see seems a solid play for this stock. No use in trying to cripple the chances of big gains with modest price targets just as the SNG train is up and running.

NDN you are guilty of attacking a straw man in your earlier post. I don’t think anyone was using the new jobs to suggest results would come quicker/imminently. Rather, it further helped shore up the fact that they are clearly working on a strong assumption that results must be good. You’ve merely twisted the narrative to suit your point, not for the first time.

I don’t want to clog up this board with bickering as I think a lot of good stuff was lost in the ether yesterday for that very reason. Posters on this board are familiar with your stance and viewpoint by now. Perhaps we cover

The pre trial agreement case isn’t fully understood/appreciated by many it would seem. To me that seems the likeliest outcome:

1. We know if PTAB goes our way Samsung have admitted they will not further contest the patents (well they can’t anyway) what possible defence does that leave? I’m sure that the Samsung legal team will be strongly advising against the company having its pants pulled down in public like that.

2. Mintz have shown to be a formidable legal outfit. Should the PTAB go our way I would expect them to be proactive in pursuing temporary injunctions of any products that contain infringing IP. I’m sure this is something they will have prepared and ready. This would really turn the screw with Samsung and all of a sudden it’s Samsung who suffer the delays, not Nanoco.

3. And finally, the wilful infringement punitive damages. If the patents hold up it will by default be wilful infringement. It will be a very painful and expensive legal formality for Samsung to proceed with r a trial given this context. They are an immensely rich company, but will surely recognise an opportunity to make a saving by avoiding court with a ‘plea bargain’.

Overall, Samsung are no strangers to brinkmanship, and it wouldn’t surprise me if every last drop of delay were squeezed out of this narrative. But as you can see, the arguments for settling make a lot of financial sense to Samsung. If the writing is on the wall post PTAB I expect Samsung to seize their opportunity to get ahead of the negotiations. It’ll be their last chance before that ship sails and the fait accompli trial commences.

Just my opinion or course but we could be done and dusted here in a few months.

A great new development but the traders will be out in force today so try not to get spiked. Since Activ I’ve held the view that anything under 200 is buy territory and that is clearly true of the current situation, but equally it’s important to bear in mind that if it’s another week without news any of today’s gains will be lost, as we saw with the US vacancies in Jan.

This isn’t me being cynical, I do feel news is imminent! But feet need to be on the ground; remember there are lots of people not playing the same game as is LTHs…

You’re bands on Schrow. Our SP has always dipped when competition is announced, but now they are one by one falling away, it’s not yet reflected in the SP. However, if our results are good, the upwards potential has increased dramatically given the wider therapeutic landscape.

Should P3 be good, there are so many unknowns about precisely where we will end up SP wise. ‘Wait and see’ mindset prudent IMO.

Nearly a year ago now, on the 14th Feb, SNG was changing hands for 190p.
When you think about all that has transpired between now and then, and what is about to unfold, today’s SP is looking amazing value.

That’s a good summary Nano, thanks. I would add that we have oral presentations later this month (21st I think?) which will give a strong soft signal in terms of the relative strength of each side prior to the institution decision in may.

There will likely be a modest run up in the SP as May approaches and then either a sizeable spike or a crash depending on the PTAB decision.

From there that’s where it gets interesting. If the PTAB goes our way then a number of options are on the table, with the prospect of an agreement before court looking the more likely outcome IMO. Samsung will know that the trial is a formality if the PTAB is not favourable to them. They will look to negotiate before getting smashed with a wilful infringement penalty IMO, along with the reputational damage that goes with it. Either way, if If the institution decision in May is good, the SP will really gather momentum as I don’t imagine many would want to risk getting caught out with an out of court agreement before any court proceedings.

12 months from now I have set a loose forecast of about a quid. The key to securing an even higher SP relies heavily on any settlement including a licensing agreement, in addition to further organic growth which Tenner seems very bullish about.

It’s nothing to worry about, he’s hardly dumped his shares and crashed the price, it’s been done in an orderly fashion, just kept a firm lid on the 18-20p range. Let’s hope he’s done offloading for now.

Hawi, correct me if I’m wrong but RNS wise acquisition or disposal of voting rights = shares. See the SNG RNS from yesterday as a comparative example (with polygon buying on this occasion).

Technically the correct procedure has been followed as once the 1% difference threshold had been passed it was RNSd. I’m fairly certain RG has sold some shares.

Hmmm they could have been drip fed into the market. Volumes have been decent last couple of weeks and anything approaching 20 has been immediately sold back into the 18p range.

Still amazes me the witchcraft of the market sometimes. Big buying by poly and every time a dip is engineered. I don’t know how many times people have to fall for it, and who on earth must be selling, but here we are.
For my own part it’s been hard to resist the urge to leverage my position, but that’s a line I just won’t cross. For now topping up whenever I’ve been able to, as has been the case since Activ 2 progression. In for more than I ever envisaged (this share gets you like that) but feeling happy with my lot. I agree NDN. Their mantra is all about inflection points and major hinge events. They haven’t loaded up here to bail out for a small return, they will want big bucks and will ensure the BOD are kept honest on any offers presented to shareholders. I think it’s best to assume their objectives align with ours.

RG has been selling it would appear. Explains why there’s been a firm ceiling at 20p. Probably likely to stay in this range for a while yet. Maybe explains the short?
