What happens if someone wants to buy 1m shares in ZIOC? Or 10m?
A huge rise in the SP with not enough small sells to meet demand?
The higher the SP rises the higher the takeover offer has to be but maybe money's no object?
So why sell at these prices?

I doubt it - there's probably talk on Twitter. Still plenty of small sellers who have no faith in the future value of the company.

Time spent on reconnaissance is never wasted! But we are still in the foothills - it's not too late! If you'd managed to research ZIOC you'd know we're talking £s not pennies unless the unexpected puts its oar in.

You be careful, Kutzz! Still, high risk can equal high reward. Pleased to see ZIOC currently up 37% as it's over half my PF while ORR is my second-largest holding. An investor can spend many years in the wilderness so it's a great feeling when faith is finally rewarded. Obviously, faith follows DYOR and I'd be interested to know why PANR keeps falling after I decided to buy on 3 occasions. Are the 17bn barrels a mirage? Maybe I'm destined to spend several years in the wilderness with that particular share too...

Decent rise on tiny volume but where are the 1m buys? Maybe the MMs need a few 1m sells first? LTHs haven't spent years waiting for a jackpot only to sell too soon but I suspect when the SP hits £1 a few will take the money and run.
Could the SP hit £2 even without a deal? Anything's possible with so few shares available.

Nothing much to add. Thanks largely to ZIOC and ORR my PF had its best week for 3 years - up 19.94%.
As for the Grand National: If the weather's not ideal I favour The Big Dog "who seems at his best on very testing ground."

MTL, Tim's other company, has hit a 52 week high this morning. Since the start of the year it has risen 88%. No reason why ORR won't do even better.

Yes, I think so, but I'm not an investment banker. I envisage ORR wanting $1m and asking the investment bank what percentage of NewCo they would have to surrender in order to get the funding. Why wouldn't the investment bank give themselves some elbow room? Value NewCo @ $20m and only pay $1m for 10% gives them a very nice return (in due course).

Correction: more sells than buys!

Pleased to see my faith in a pleasant surprise has been rewarded! Sad to see more buys than sells as per usual with ORR - the gift horse with gold teeth! However, ORR may well be even more "extraordinarily undervalued" than previously thought. It doesn't necessarily follow that $1m of financing in return for a 10% non-carried interest means NewCo is valued at $10m as any investment bank will drive a hard bargain.

Agreed, why would the BOD sell themselves short? But what is "reality"? A few million quid now or billions later? And presumably there's no guarantee of future billions. Has any geologist ever made a fortune investing in AIM?

I monitor 40 of them and RGL is up the most today. What nobody addresses is the need for an office for WFH workers to attend occasionally - that space still needs to be rented from the likes of RGL.
