Agree with your moniker but starting late means nothing - you need to adapt your strategy! All 5 of my oil investments are struggling but most of my PF is not invested in oil.

If you ever had a point to make, you made it long ago. The SP rose on the crest of your wave but has since fallen. That tells me ZIOC remains a binary bet and I am so tired of stating that fact. What exactly are you trying to achieve? And I suspect there are several yous - one day this week you were online at 0425 when nobody was interested and still going strong 15 hours later.

I think it's time you gave up and moved on. Both ZIOC and KP2 are heading towards multibaggerdom so why waste your breath?

Congratulations on your holding and apologies for only just seeing your question from last Sunday - I was too busy not reading MinorMiner's contributions! What is "too cheap"? That's a very good question. Until recently, I was hoping for £2 so "too cheap" would certainly be £1. Now I'm hoping for £5.80 but it will be a miracle if that happens! But you never know, after years in the wilderness, maybe there will be several interested parties which might lead to a takeover price beyond our wildest dreams. Bear in mind, if £5.80 is 0.1% of possible NAV then 0.5% equals £29! Not quite ordered my Porsche but I'm thinking about it.

Congratulations Driving on your recent very profitable exit from HUM which I assume has funded your increased holding in ZIOC. Funnily enough, I have money heading my way as proceeds from the sale of the former marital home - it's only taken 28 years! Tempted to invest more in ZIOC as it's looking the best it's ever looked yet the current SP remains a huge disappointment. If £10 per share is perfectly feasible (less than 0.2% of NAV, allegedly) then why aren't we at least 50p by now?

ZIOC remains a binary bet but with the odds very much in favour of further development.

Exactly! Whatever deal GLEN and Elphick accept the rest of the shareholders are lumbered with! Use your imagination! And think the worst. Currently reading a book about pop group managers which is very relevant: back in the 1980s Gilbert O'Sullivan sued his manager Gordon Mills for money not received. Turned out he'd earned £14.5m yet received only £500k. He won his case but I can't see ZIOC shareholders having a leg to stand on if it's sold for a pittance.

Since 31 October 2012. Bought my first 6,000 shares @ 37.3p! Another four buys into 2013 @ 29p, 22.7p, 16p and 11.6p which averaged me down to 20.8p. Never average down! Invested more since so my current average is 6.82p. I was interested to read that each ZIOC share is sitting on $726k of iron ore. Assuming a 99.9% discount to NAV that still makes every ZIOC share worth £5.80! I think that's about the most we can hope for and I would've been happy with £2! Obviously, more than one bidder for ZIOC could unleash a much better offer which would mean multiples of £5.80! DYOR

I have now bought PANR on four occasions and still the SP refuses to rise! All the sellers are selling at a loss but what are they afraid of? Maybe a placing if a JV doesn't arrive before it. Assuming there's a placing - it won't be that dilutive unless I'm missing something. Regardless, 17bn barrels can't be wrong unless PANR are suddenly forbidden to extract it. Not totally impossible in this green world but it would make hundreds of other oil companies uninvestible.
