Yes, Veteran10, ZIOC has always been a binary bet and I'm surprised more investors aren't embracing them. In the current climate (pun intended), Growth is a historical concept if the planet is to survive. Or, to be more accurate, human life on this planet. Shame there's no joined-up thinking where that's concerned. Whatever happens short-term, Iron Ore will be required so ZIOC remains a highly-leveraged option any sensible investor would want as a small % of their PF. Form an orderly queue. Flying pigs also have their supporters! Not content with one missed jackpot I've increased my holding in ROCK by 150% in the hope it can deliver what ZIOC hasn't. The ROCK SP wouldn't have to rise much to make ZIOC my second largest holding. Maybe I'll throw a party when that happens?

A disappointing RNS but the future remains bright! While I'm dismayed by the current high costs of production they should fall. And the inevitable rise in the price of Gold will trigger the leverage. At least HUM is an actual gold miner and not just a hole in the ground - I'm invested in far too many of those already!

I nearly bought @ 580p but I'm glad I didn't. Could the SP be heading sub-500p? Even sub-IPO? It's interesting that the SPs of IP Group and SUPP who have significant holdings in ONT have not rocketed despite the boost to their NAV.

I'm still hoping for £1! It would be life-changing for me even with only 270,000 shares.

...on Tuesday morning but since then it's gone into reverse with a vengeance. Just how much good news is required to double the SP? Obviously, the illiquidity doesn't help and it means nervous MMs appear to move the SP up and down on the strength of one trade!

Most of yesterday's Sells were Buys as one of them was mine! Increased my holding 247% in expectation of a sharp rise in the price of Gold as soon as the World stops sleepwalking. Sadly, that could take some time or maybe it won't? Also bought HUM who are actually mining Gold in Mali, Africa's 3rd largest Gold producer.

ZIOC now only 21% of my PF so nothing much to worry about if it goes under while £1 per share would be helpful especially as I could be facing eviction but it's early days. Meanwhile, this week I invested in Silver & Gold: HOC & HUM and I increased my holding in ORR. Not convinced about so-called safe havens but Silver is looking very endangered if solar panels proliferate while Gold ought to at least double when everything unravels. Always the optimist!

Your pessimism does you credit but I don't think you really mean it. Only slightly more likely is a "derisory offer" which still leaves LTHs counting their profits in pennies rather than pounds . WTFDIK? Not much or I wouldn't be down 50%! On the bright side, ZIOC is now only 25% of my PF.

It's hard to see any UK Company making any progress under this incompetent Tory Govt. but they can be replaced! I favour a Green-Labour Coalition but WTFDIK? I was amazed to see my forever Tory constituency viewed as a possible Green win at the next GE. Bring it on!

I did my research, got it wrong so I did it again and still thought SUPP was a no-brainer. SUPP's current discount to NAV has failed to attract investors which suggests I'm ahead of the crowd but what's the use? Let's hope ONT hits £10 before Xmas and SUPP hits 50p but what are the chances?

Pleased I didn't lose patience. With various energy shortages it's not hard to see Oil hitting $100 . I wonder how many investors have sold KIST in order to invest in LBE?

...sunning himself in Barbados after somebody offered £1 per share for ZIOC. It's not an unreasonable offer (to echo Mark E.Smith) and I'd be happy to accept as would most shareholders. If it was remotely possible why is the SP where it is and not anticipating a 23-bagger? Mr Market will be sorry.

Yes, why has the SP failed to respond? And it's a shame SUPP has sold 10% of their ONT holding @ 425p when the current price is 602p!

It's a shame "Approaches continue to be received from a number of strategic investors interested in investing in the Zanaga Project" never leads to "Brace yourself for the derisory buyout offer." Any offer would be better than nothing and might encourage higher offers. As for investing in holes in the ground, the risk-reward ratio remains attractive assuming one or two come up trumps. Agreed Neil Woodford knew his onions but he also made some very basic mistakes. Long-term investments in illiquid shares should never have formed part of a Unit Trust whereas within an Investment Trust they're hidden gems.

Hard to see LBE ever outperforming KIST but I live in hope. Thought about buying KIST before it rocketed 232% but stuck with LBE instead - should've hedged my bets!
