Interesting to hear yesterday that Apple are pressing ahead with their electric self driving vehicle programme hurting Tesla's share price. Could they come back for NANO's sensor technology after all? Either directly or through STMicro.

Interesting to hear yesterday that Apple is pressing ahead with it's self driving electric vehicle programme hurting Tesla's share price. The car will apparently have multiple LIDAR sensors that will either be new or repurpose the sensors used in iPhones. Assume they will need them inside the car for driver monitoring as well as outside for self driving. They're hoping to get something to market for 2024 not withstanding pandemic delays.

Which no doubt they could already do pre-Brexit.

I've done this a couple of times to be fair and it's worked well but only to add profit shares on top of a core holding while maintaining the level of cash I want right now.

I think it'll be a long time before IQE are making any money from quantum computing (unless you count classical computing as transitors actually work using quantum effects) but it's great that they are dedicating research to designing products in the field.

I don't think the legal system in The States does discourage bad behaviour by large players. It positively encourages it. It's the opposite of a free market.

Interesting Edison put out a new report focussing on expected increased hanset sales next year so soon after the last one. Caveats aside I assume this means they see a significant improvement in IQE's bottom line next year because of it. I'm sure they'd put out an RNA for more machines Gotrader so no doubt Cardiff is still at 10.

Really hope so Brighty. All about margins of course. A lot of this stuff is new products, record orders for defence contractors and we can now make bigger wafers so hopefully this time profits will be forthcoming.

I always thought that the reason patents had to be written in such a way that an expert in the field could reproduce the thing being patented was to prevent people using vague language and drawings and then sueing after the fact for things they say they "meant" by the patent. For want of better words to stop patent trolling using bulls hit bingo. Not that the whole process had to be described without any gaps.

So, as long as experts attest that the language in the patents is specific and technical enough; and describes processes that are not prior art or simple for anyone to perform then NANO should be fine. In the spirit of the law at least. Maybe Samsung have found a loophole.

Isn't the PR being handled Stateside by a specialist firm? It'll be targeted at institutions and venture capatilists not retail investors so not surprising we wouldn't see anything in the media.

The article implies that it's due to a lower level of due diligence and therefore the companies coming to market are more dodgy. The analysis takes no account of sector, timing in a particular company's life cycle, whether they are coming across from a different market and so will already have due diligence done (DDDD for example), etc.

If there's pent up demand in the US for biopharmers and the company's pretty solid which we all think it is it might well fly in Jan. I guess this is the kind of analysis that people are doing when thinking of buying back up to £1.10 though.

I find that whenever there is any fund raising (apart from warrants and options) a share price moves to match the price. You always get the chance to buy in the open market.
