I've not seen anyone show that they can replace microchips with it before. Could be quite a breakthrough.

My worry here is it's not compound semiconductors. If for example fewer cars are being built because manufacturers can't get regular chips does that mean fewer sensros and power converters that rely on compound semis are being ordered?

MRx0518 looks to be a real breakthrough. Similar results look like they are being generated as a monotherapy as when used with Keytruda. If it contunies to see success in combination with other therapies and also taking into account the research published last week on skin cancer (similarly boosting the immune system by regenerating the microbiome) MRx0518 will start to look amazing. Maybe Seres type levels on a stage 3 trial isn't out of the question.

Pretty sure they're using VCSELs. The narrow optical band is provided by a laser. QDs in the sensor side would help with battery longevity and miniturisation due increased sensitivity. I suspect that the sensors NANO are working on with STMicros are some sort of VCSEL nanoparticale combo.

I'm not saying this has absolutely anything to do with NANO but I found the follow article very inetersting. It shows how nano size structures on a sensor can be used to eliminate the multi-lense set ups in modern smart phones while increasing resolution, providing depth sensing capabilities and reducing battery drain. Shows the kind of power adding nano particales to sensors brings. If we're in the same ballpark with STMicro we could come up with some compelling products.

Looks to me here that the researchers are describing exactly the same effect of MRx0518 but this time on skin cancer. Since they are using Keytruda no doubt Merck will say, "Yep, already on it." Worrying if DDDDs whole development process can be circumvented by combining Keytruda with a stool transplant. Presumably that's easier to do.

Yes possibly. Timing lines up. The perfect scenario would be integrating NANO sensors into an expensive niche product like this and realising that they increase performance so well that they start incorpoarting them into all their depth sensors. That would be a gigantic market.

Tesla's not exactly a good fit for Apple. The shareprice is almost all hype as investors throw money at Elon Musk. It's technology isn't very good. What is, is licensed (batteries). I'm not sure building a car is a good idea for Apple as it's much more investment for much lower margins than phones and software but should they go all they way I'm sure they'll come up with a better product than Tesla. I doubt Musk would have stayed to become just an employee at Apple either and so all that value would have just disappeared in a puff of smoke.

Apple seem intent in squeezing LIDAR into everything :-)

I'm ambivalent towards regular shorting. Overall I reckon if it exaggerates swings potentially creating better entry and exit points, fair enough. Naked shorting should be banned and is so there needs to be an investigation as to how that was going on in Gamestop. Loud shorting where there's an agressive unfounded deramping campaign is unpleasant. I've had several shares where that's happened. However, is it any different from unjustified ramping? I don't think either of those things happened with Tesla. The shorters are fighting a wall of hype ramping there. Doesn't mean they're wrong.

Very much doubt a moneyed flash mob will be able to significantly influence precious metals prices. Also, retail investors are bound to not be the overall winners of the Gamestop thing. There will be all sorts of groups behind that pump and shorts will go back on. Normal service resumed? Tiny bump only in PMs?

On the original contract? I recall asking that question here at the time but there was no information on it. Then when the agreement was cancelled the company stated exclusivity was withdrawn. So yes I reckon so. Important thing is not now.

Woudn't be surprised if STM is focussing on Apple anyway though. Loads of noise regarding their car at the moment. Unlike when they had the contract with us the approach this time appears to be outsource as much as they can. Hence STM.
