Not good. They tie me knots every time. I didn't buy or sell any shares when the results came out the first time and I didn't buy or sell any yesterday. I'm more interested in the bigger picuture than any one read out.

I said to those not expert at reading clinical results like myself JohnnieW. It was a comment about perception. I've not got any more expert in understanding the statistics but the results do still read a lot better just because I can understand bigger numbers. I've long given up trying to predict any sort of market move from a single event. Fundamentals tend to get reflected over time however. Today's RNA was encouraging DDDD will get a partner for phase 3.

The whole result set reads a lot more positively.

... and there is an RNA and it is good. For those not expert in understanding clinical results like myself the use of the words statistically insignificant stood out in the original RNA. New analysis stating that there was an unusually high positive response in the placebo group that was statistically significant is very reassruing :)

Well, I've upgraded to wifi 6 today. Here's hoping my new router is full of IQE components.

Must admit Screenlearner I'm waiting with fatalistic expectency for STMicro to announce that after all the hard work done with Nanoco they are partnering with Nanosys on sensors.

Absolutley Qd22. No text around what this really means. However, I think it's a good RNA. This is part of the company's stated aim to move up the supply chain and increase margins.

That's right Screenlearner. The company said Q2. H2 actually I think.

I'm a bit more sceptical I'm afraid guys. I've had shares in several companies with trading on OTC. Made diddly squat of a difference.

I think there is precedent for such actions in the US but brought against the company that is the victim. i.e. shareholders suing NANO because they have failed to sufficiently protect themeselves. I think it would have to be willful. NANO's board being in league with Samsung.

I've scanned the document and I'm fairly familliar with the plans. This isn't the place to go into it but siffice to say colour me extremely sceptical. It will be interesting to revist in 5 years / 10 years time to see the impact.

Ah thanks ddubya. I was wondering if there was any genuine innovation going on with this freeport idea but if it's just about tax avoidance I can't say I think it's worthwhile. I dont think they will be any use for helping small companies grow unless they are able to set up all their operations witin the port. In that case they are just an economy within an economy. It doesn't benefit the nation at all but creates a wild west of tax avoidance. In practice on balance I don't think that will be possible anyway. Arrangements for comapnies will be so complicated they'll just be used for warehousing as they are in other developed economies which is why the last lot were shut down by Cameron. Another way for the big boys to avoid paying tax I'm afraid which is one more way of tipping the scales in favour of large comanies against small ones. Better for the Samsungs than the Nanocos.

If Nanoco win a big payout there will no doubt be tax implications. I'm happy for my small part to be taken. I'd rather the govenrment put a national strategy in place to support innovantion and small business that includes large international corporations paying their fair share so that that there is at least a more level playing field but I fear it's too hard for them.

I doutb STMicro would be trying to discourage customers from signing up for new product lines Screenlearner. I think development just takes a long time. 1 - 2 years with STMicro (3 - 4 if you count the time spent with Apple) and then there'll be 1 - 2 years where STMicro works with OEMs on final products. Contract still alive is the important point for me.

BtB, sensor customers woudn't be concerned with the litigation. It's a whole different type of nanoparticle no doubt protected by different patents. Diaplay partners would have free reign if Sansumg wins though. Anyone could copy NANO's dot production for screens.

Encouraging. Improves confidence in the solidity of the patents. I'm not very worried about the IPR myself as I think it's really for dismissing obvious trolls.
