It's probably a lot further away and a lot closer than we think Nanonano. There are some very compelling products in the final stages of testing (rebar free reinforced concrete for example) that depending on cost will be rapidly disruptive. But, who knows how long testing will take, how much graphene can be made to meet demand and what those costs will be.

I'll go VRS bonzoful. Like NANO on steroids. Always on the cusp of commercialisation. Many products on the horizon. Very frustrating for investors but if any product line comes good then with graphene the sky's the limit.

Oh right I didn't realise the data must be unpublished. Very difficult to do when that data is material to the company doing the presenting.

Looks set to be Apple's secret weapon for improvements in photography. Article also mentions that we should finally start seeing widepread aboption in flagship Android phones next year and that if iPhone 13's new camera modes are successfull probably see proliferation of advanced LiDAR sensors into standard cameras.

I've never seen a non-exec make a positive contribution to a company. They're just their to give the illusion of some corporate resposibility and rubber stamp otherwise objectionable remuneration packages IMO. In this case though it looks like LO asserting some control over NANO.

Yep, appears to be great business. Roughly $6m shares at £1.03 doesn't seem too onerous at all. Good deal.

Thanks frostbar. "It's obvious" doesn't sound like much of a defence to me. If it was everyone would be doing it. Building large scale quantum conputers with a zero error rate will be obvious in 50 years with the benefit of hindsight.

I think that one is down to ROHS. I'm sure we'd see some AUO panels with NANO dots if it were the only way they could access the EU market.

So many missed opportunties. That's one project I guess was linked with ROHS. Cadmium dots are cheaper and perform better. Think we'd have seen some AUO screens with NANO dots if it was their only way into the EU market.

Eh? Isn't ETIAS a security measure modelled on other measures that have been present elsewhere for years, heavily supported by Britain and the only reasong we're caught up in it is that we left?

I think it's unfortunate that delays to ROHS have damaged NANO's business but in the big wide world they have to compete with the best products at the best prices and unfortunately weather the dirty tricks of unscrupulous competitors. Whether it's bad decisions made by the company or expectations were just unrealistic at times they've not managed to do that successfully so far. I'm still hopeful the science will out and that we can bring at least one of those malicious actors to heal through the ongoing court case. Fact is the EU are leading with their proposed cadmium ban. Whatever the delay if it happens they will be ahead of everyone else.

They don't appear to want to RNA trial sites. One hopes VRS are getting some money for this though.

I seem to have different expectations on the CEO search to most others. I expected it to take a long time although it is starting to drag on a bit now.

II-VI are the potential storm cloud on the horizon alright but in the more established VCSEL world. I don't think they have the capability to make the 1300-1400 nm sensors. IQE have only just announced they can do that and are apparently the first. These new advancements are where we would presumably have an opporytunity to reset margins as well. Lots of unknowns. We'll just have to see how things develop.
