I sensed from Cathal closing comments last night that the announcement of a large contact win was very close. The flu figures quoted were actually on one of the POLB slides. Let's hope this gives some much needed OOMPH to ORPH.

It's funny when reading though the posts this morning, I noticed that there are almost as many filtered posters as there are normal ones. Presumably those who are filtered don't know they've been filtered so for all we know they are spending hours and hours bashing our wonderful company and nobody will be reading them! Seems quite apt to me. Even if they reply to me, I won't see them. Too funny.

Unbelievable. Hidden away right at the bottom almost in the small print. Surely should have been better placed (sorry) in the body of the RNS. It took me 3/4 attempts fo find this.

I have very strong views on the Covid vaccines but don't want to sour the forum with them as they are not relevant to discussion on this stock. It' s like topics that should never be discussed at dinner parties, politics, religion & now Covid.

The reason I posted is because I was interested in moniman's comment that he'd had 2 jabs but doesn't want to be continually jabbed and I think that is the real problem that Govt will face as the pro camp begins to have doubts and fall away. The fact is that the vaccines are not as safe and effective as promised - if they were we would be out of this mess pretty much by now.

I listened to an interview with the South African lady doctor who discovered the virus and she went through the mild symptoms, body fatigue, headache but no mention of loss of taste or smell or coughing. Sounded like flu symptoms to me so no wonder the Covid vaccines may not work on it.

All the relevant people will have the sequencing details and it would be great to hear that our LFT can pick it up, even if it turns out to be a flu.

Good point Codejunkie. Volumes are so key in small caps so if SP drops unexpectedly on low volume (like today) somebody is playing tricks. I follow volumes very closely in my Folio and watchlists.

It's just bloody obvious that our LFT is just made for the position we're now in. Just heard commentator on CNBC say that travellers will have to have a PCR test rather than a quicker but less accurate LFT. Makes my blood boil when I think would benefits we could bring to the party.

Hi marik, I do tend to baulk at the term anti-vax because it usually comes across as a dismissive attempt to discredit anyone who is not happy with THIS particular vaccine whereas opposers have a number of reasons for being concerned about the effectiveness of the vaccines and overall Government Covid policy.

I don't think that Covid vaccines are useless but their ineffectiveness has hampered the response to the pandemic. If they had been safe and effective as we were all promised, we would not be in the position we are currently in with many of the double-jabbed suffering bad doses of Covid and dying. IMO Government should have kept to the original script and only vaccinated the elderly and those with underlying conditions and certainly never children.

Anyway, let's hope we get some positive news on AVCT in the coming weeks. It is my 2nd largest investment and I've been here for over two years now and it would be nice to get a nice re-rate before Christmas.

But I totally agree with your statements. Government basing their Omicron resistance policy on masks is absurd as there is no proven science that shows that they work. All they do is make some people feel better about themselves.

marik, on your point about reading "an article mentioning the 61 people" (who tested positive for Covid on a Dutch flight from Souith Africa) and that "more needs to be done to tackle the variant, the earlier the better. The really scary part are the anti vaccine and mask groups who think this is all fake news".

It is a huge irony that the 61 passengers on that flight would have been fully vaccinated since unvaccinated would not have been permitted to fly. That is a reality. As to fake news IMO most things that emanate from MSM are, if not fake, utterly distorted in order to fit in to the particular Government message of the moment.

As regards AVCt, I just hope we can get ourselves in to a position to be confirm that our LFT can detect the new mutation.

I know this may sound simplistic but I really sense that this has to be done soon and a deadline put in place if there is not already one. It's not unusual for an offeree's Investment Bank to indicate that sufficient time has been allowed to interested party(ies) and to set a date whereby a firm offer has to be tabled. This should always have been the case but is more important know in case the World is faced with months of lockdowns and restrictions due to Covid which could jeopardise any deal. IMO time is now of the essence!

Most shares are in an ISA although my last top up was outside but I'll sell in April and re-purchase from my ISA if necessary but there is no urgency as the CGT exemption should be enough to cover gains on here, at least for a while!

I listened (can't say watched because Colin King and the new CFO didn't show their faces during the slide presentation and the 3 questions they answered) to the whole presentation, having previously been a shareholder and was interested to hear what was said. In short it was a car crash both in terms of the content and also the actual presentation. King was poor. He needs a crash course in how to present. You'd think a CEO would be good at that. Makes me think how lucky we are to have Dr Al at the helm.

I'd like to see how they present their case to the Bank Manager. I suggest the CFO leads but why would a bank quadruple their overdraft facility after this result?
