According to notes available to investors in Oxgene, Merc is anticipating either an IPO within 18 month or a trade sale in about 2 years. However, (travelling/arriving again), there is need for another cash raise soon & it is still burning cash, now put down to covid.
Could be true but their payroll looks like it has expanded rather a lot given that link you sent us, which is either v bullish or cause for concern, jury is still out imho.

I doubt that JIM is racy enough for the pump n dump merchants but with some other platforms showing stress yesterday they have probably picked up some extra volume, but not from the reddit crowd !

And being a media company in the financial news space they certainly will know how to arrange a good puff.....
I saw one similar by them at a vct agm in which they held some, again all puff but no substance (their shares were a lot higher then as well !)

Great question, according to the Wicked website it was started by 2 entrepreneurs from US (wicked llc) but "partnered" with Tesco, read in to that what you want, but one of the founders is "execurive chef & director of plant foods innovation" for Tesco and came from Wholefoods.
Not sure if that makes it any clearer or not....

I was in pretty much the same boat as you, I considered myself a reluctant remainer and have honestly been astonished as to the amount of emotive vitriol that is still spouted by a modest number of the 48% almost 4 years after the event.
They must have sad lives to have not yet got over it.
Nevertheless this board is about GSK which I believe is undervalued, despite what CS said recently, we must look forward to better times pricewise, healthcare is, after alll, a growth market.

Now we seee the AJ Bell figures today, which are really good, let us hope for a good report from JIM in March !

I think it could be the opposite as apparently the ex Greene King boss, Anand, has raised £200m in order to buy up small chains of pubs. Maybe the odd Mars property but not a large block.
This was in CityAM this afternoon.
As ever with Mars it is usually better to travel than to arrive.

Thanks for your summations here, I did start looking at the investegate piece last night but thought it differed from the trustnet one though was not quite sure how.
Both trustnet & investegate are normally reliable purveyors of information but it is always the arcane issues which are the most difficult, thus I am inclined to go with trustnet as if BNP keep taking some debt on they are not a charity & there has to be something in it for them, in very simplistic terms.
Better to be cautious on this as the sums involved are highly significant to Mars ongoing structure, these different ways of borrowing money often become a millstone as all looks great until something unexpected happens, like zero interest rates !

It would indeed be helpful to know the position on the swaps, but until any further elucidation from our one time poster I guess we have to realise that your reading of the relevant rns etc are accurate until proven otherwise, it certainly reads that way to me from what we know from the accounts.
Which leaves us in a "hurry up & wait" position to see the next set of accounts. With the stated current cash burn a long lockdown does not augur well & whilst I agree with YoYoMa as to the importance of hospitality to our economy, we are dealing here with politicians & the gloomsters from SAGE, who are less than predictable.
Daave, on the other hand, said that level 4 was better for pubs than level 3 due to the certainty and governmental assistance.
In short, we seem to be in the dark.

No idea how the double entry happened, apologies anyway !
